Review: Sharp, easy to play - Delivery as stated, arrived within 5 days. This is bought for my son, 11 years and just starts grade 5 on this one. Finger holes are slightly big compare earlier one but he soon adjusted to play more. The old is accent for over 25 years and still sound good but harder to blow. I bought this after reading on many sites recommendation, excellent value. Hope my boy will not bite and knock it like the early one.

**Q: What is the difference between yamaha yrs-24b, yamaha yrs-302b, and suzuki sre-3 3-piece?**
A: The Yamaha YRS 24B recorder is the standard entry level recorder used by most general music teachers. The Yamaha YRS 302B is part of the 300 Series recorders which are the professional level recorders. They have extra features like an arched wind-way for richer body of sound. I do not know how those two compare to the Suzuki SRE 3 Recorder (West Music doesn't sell those). However, based on the price I would assume it is also an entry level recorder. I hope this helps!

A: Yes it comes with a suede type pouch that the recorder fits in and closes via a zipper

Delivery as stated, arrived within 5 days. This is bought for my son, 11 years and just starts grade 5 on this one. Finger holes are slightly big compare earlier one but he soon adjusted to play more. The old is accent for over 25 years and still sound good but harder to blow. I bought this after reading on many sites recommendation, excellent value. Hope my boy will not bite and knock it like the early one.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You can't go wrong with a Yamaha

From a technical point of view this is pretty much spot on. If you can't play what you need to play on this it is you and not the recorder - and that's what you want when you're learning, there is nothing worse than trying to learn a new skill and your equipment is holding you back. If I had to find something to criticise I would say that the sound can be a little harsh, but that brightness also means that you can easily add ornaments with breath control. Like all plastic recorders moisture builds up in the instrument and needs blowing through - I just blast it from the bottom end and that clears the fipple and labium. Like all plastic recorders it's easy to care for, just wash it in the washing up bowl and then rinse it clean.
