The Perfect PRO Gimbal for DSLR and Filmmakers Period !
The media could not be loaded. There are few things more frustrating than nailing a shot, only to realize later that your footage is shaky and unusable. So naturally, the next step to better content is a more stable footage, but you don’t know which options are best for you and your projects. There are a LOT of those 3-Axis gimbals out there, but only a few of them supports the payload required for DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) cameras though.Budget isn't the only determining factor for gear, but often it has the loudest voice. Fortunately, there are some fantastic options for just about every budget, and you will find (like I did) that the best option for you is actually cheaper than you thought. Honestly, being able to handle heavier payload (up to 1.2kg / 2.65lbs), and being splash-proof (not totally waterproof though, so be careful still while around water), AND having a good battery life on the top of all that, definitely makes this gimbal on top of my list at that price range. So, as stated earlier, the Feiyu G6 supports payloads up to up to 1.2kg / 2.65lbs, which is perfect for most basic DSLR and mirror-less camera setups. It also boasts great aluminum alloy build quality, an ergonomic grip that feels good in the hand, an intuitive set of controls, and an integrated battery that is listed to lasts up to 9 hours. But so far I never ran mine out of battery yet though, before I finished a filming project. Considering the quality and feature set, this is surprisingly affordable. The more advanced users will certainly also enjoy the control of zoom/focus, three-axis rotation, and adjustment of various parameters (some parameter could only be set after connecting to the gimbal through WiFi though). This gimbal uses brush-less electric motors to respond in real-time to the camera operator’s movements, automatically smoothing out otherwise rough footage so that it looks polished and professional. And frankly, since i started using this gimbal, I find myself using my tripod much less !So in short...GOOD:- Supports payloads up to up to 1.2kg / 2.65lbs- Splash-proof- Integrated battery that is rated up to 9 hours- Can be used with DSLR/Cell Phone/GoPro cameras- Comes inside a nice storage case- Many various shutter cable/adapter included for maximizing cameras compatibility- Constructed mainly with aluminum alloy, which makes this gimbal lightweight and easy to operateNOT SO GOOD:- The included instructions were not all that easy to understand, and could deter beginners who never setup one of those gimbal beforeOverall, I am definitely enjoying this purchase, which will make a great addition to my video gear !

Fantastic Gimbal!
The FeiyuTech G6 Max is a great gimbal for many different activities. For this price range, not only does the gimbal feel good in your hands with a solid metal frame, but it can handle heavier cameras. I was deciding between the Zhiyun M2 or the G6 Max and in the end, I went with the G6 Max. Even though other reviewers have noted that the software for the Zhiyun is slightly better and their locking mechanism is convenient, I couldn't ignore the fact that the G6 Max can not only hold a heavier camera, is water resistant, but also have a longer battery life. In the end, I am very happy with my choice and will be sticking with FeiyuTech!

Works well - but requires some patience for initial setup
The media could not be loaded. I am a professional photographer who specializes in automotive photography and also dabble in video.I have used Feiyutech products in the past, and find that they produce good quality, solid products - but instructions can often be lacking or at best - difficult. This was no different.Initial impressions as I unpacked it - nice reusable hard foam container that should help keep it safe and protected while traveling and tossed in with other camera gear. The gimbal itself was about the size I expected - manageable and portable but not exactly pocketable.I got the instructions out and started reading through them - despite my gut reaction to just try to figure it out myself. The included instructions were not all that clear - and granted, I've never set up a gimbal before and the balancing process is pretty specific and has to be done in a particular order. I was using it with my Sony RX100 MkVII - and there are a number of connecting cables that come with the kit to connect just about any kind of device via the native connector on the camera to a USB-C connector on the gimbal. This allows for the shutter control and other camera controls to be done with the inputs/buttons on the gimbal handle. The cables are all individually labeled with what kind of connector they have on them. It took a while for me to get the balancing and connection all set up on the gimbal - I also had to download the app to my phone, which then had me do some firmware updates to the gimbal (with a restart after each one).Once I got everything set up (it did take a couple hours - again .. it was my first time setting a gimbal up, so I'd imagine if you'd done this before with a similar product, you'd be able to do it quicker), it was time to play around. The gimbal managed the weight of the RX100MkVII just fine - the weight was great - this would be fantastic for someone doing coverage of an event (I was thinking a car show), and with the button shortcut that makes the camera spin around for doing a selfie-video (or Vlog shot), it's super easy to use. It's very portable and touts up to 9 hours of use on a charge (probably dependent on how 'active' you are with it, and how well balanced your camera is).The menu structure on the small 1" square display took some deciphering for me to figure out - but in reality there isn't a lot of complication necessary. It has options for the "inception" mode - a fun feature that causes the camera to spin on the lens' axis for creative shots, it also has a 'portrait' mode where it flips the camera into portrait mode, and then there's the time-lapse mode. I found the time-lapse mode interesting and fun - you set the start point and end point for the time lapse and based on the time setting established through the app, it moves slowly from start to finish, taking photos at the interval set in the app.In summary - I like the feel of this - it's solid, but not too heavy or bulky - the controls all have nice feel to them. It operates very smoothly with a camera of the RX100's size - I tried putting my A7R3 on it, and there's NO way it can support it. I also put my iPhone on it and found it to be very effective for the iPhone as well (after re-balancing the gimbal). The instructions that come with it are very crude - if you go to the FeiyuTech website you can find and download a longer and much more helpful version of the instructions that help make more sense of the menu structure, app, calibration and follow modes. I wish I had searched for that when I first started - it would have saved me some time during setup. For someone doing a vlog, using a small camera or even phone - this thing is really good - video came out smooth, the transitions in movement were very nice and it definitely added a level of professionalism to the final product. with the included tripod-base, it's easy to set this up on a tabletop and set the time-lapse, or just have it recording video on the gimbal with a steady base.I do have a small gripe with the rubber cover that goes over the charging port - even if you have fingernails, it's very difficult to open - if they had put a little pull tab or nub on it to make it easier to grab, it would resolve the issue.

Pls, it’s been almost almost three weeks since I returned the product because the battery could hold charge, I tracked it, and the product has reached. Still I’ve not got my refund almost two weeks now.

Best gimbal for heavier smartphones!
I wanted a gimbal for my iPhone XS Max + attachment lenses and unfortunately there’s no smartphone gimbals out there that can handle that size and weight. You need counterweights and it wears on the motors. After trying out 6 different gimbals I found this and I am super pleased. It is well constructed, lightweight, sturdy and you can set the control the knob so that you can pan, tilt or roll which is awesome. You can also do inception mode, you just need to set that up in the menu on the app. I’m really happy with this gimbal. Recommend
