Banish those nits
This does exactly what it says. U like the plastic combs you often get in the boxes with the solutions this has metal prongs with diagonal ridges in which grab the nits and eggs and pull them off the hair without pulling the child's hair.

Great comb for price.
I thought this was a great price and very similar to the bitty gritty. Comb itself does the job and has tight grip. My youngest daughter has super dine hair and caught the dreaded nits and the xomb wasn't tight enough to grab eggs from her fine hair but neither does notty gritty. Overall good value, great comb.

Not sure what the hype is
As many other parents have suffered at the start of a new school year, we where hit with the dreaded headlice. These things seem to be resistant to most of the over counter products so I started looking into the 2 week combing method. The Nitty gritty comb kept coming up as the one to buy along with 1 other named brand. But honestly, I'm not entirely sure why. It's average at best. Yes it has close spiraled prongs which in theory should work better. However, these are easily moved. Meaning when your combing through the hair it misses eggs. Major flaw in my opinion. It also seems to pull your hair out (adult who uses bleach to have blonde hair) so not great on regularly coloured hair. I felt it worked no better than a metal comb you'd get in a treatment box such as Full Marks. It 100% is better than the plastic combs available nowadays but it's not really worth the hype. Manually pulling eggs out is still the best method whilst time consuming it works. We tried dry combing, wet combing, soaking in conditioner combing (messy) and those eggs are firmly stuck on. We found a treatment box killed adults. But none of the treatments actually killed the eggs.

Easy to use
Easy to use though I found it a little difficult to get really close to the scalp in my daughters thick curly hair. Once I got the hang of it, the eggs slid off easily and it didn’t pull her hair too much either.

Great value
Checks childs hair (which is very thick) as well as other expensive combs.Used lots as nits are really enjoying being free again in schools after lockdown and bubbles!

Not brilliant
Needed to buy a comb after an outbreak of the pesky little things in my sons schoolArrived the same day but unfortunately really cheap and badly made, doesn’t pull through the hair like the leading brand does making a tough job even more annoying that it should be
