I tested it for myself
I have had Calphalon cookware for decades, both the original anodized and the nonstick. This product is only for the original anodized and Not for the nonstick. The reviews here seemed inconclusive, so I tested it myself. My neighbor has an original Calphalon pan that she obviously put in the dishwasher several times. But it was clean and not at all damaged by aerosol cooking spray. But it was thoroughly streaked with white on both the inside and outside.I first tried soaking and then washing the pan with SoftScrub but its condition was unchanged.A few days later I received the Dormond and tried it. I rinsed the pan in hot water and then used the abrasive sponge in the Dormond to scrub both the interior and exterior. It did require scrubbing, like you would do with a frying pan with cooked particles on it. Then I let it set for 15 minutes and rinsed it. The inside was almost like new, with no more white marks. The outside was about 50% better. So I repeated the process, this time scrubbing more on the outside and also the rim and edge. After letting it set, I rinsed it again and it looked perfect. Altogether it took about 10 minutes of scrubbing and 30 minutes of soaking. This stuff works great. You can't expect that just passing a limp wrist over the pan will do anything. But if you put your anodized Calphalon in the dishwasher, then your well-deserved penance is to have to scrub the pan. That's not much of a price to salvage the pan. I do not know how Dormond would do with the damage from cooking spry.None of my Calphalon have these white marks, but I will see if it will improve the marks on the bottom interior. So if you have anodized Calphalon, and the only damage is the white marks from being in a dishwasher, and you can deal with scrubbing for 5 minutes, then this stuff is the ticket!

Worked really well for me
Some reviews on this cleanser were hits, some misses, but I wanted to try this out.My pans are a full set of Calphalon and all of them had residue that I couldn't remove. I didn't use anything harsh, such as steel wool, of course. I did try powders and such, but nothing helped.I was actually considering a new set of pans, but that was silly. This worked really well and I was amazed at how much residue came off each pan. I don't know what is in this cleanser, but it worked for me. For instance, a pan I had used and washed well with a sponge seemed as clean as it would get. But, when I used the Calphalon Dormond and rinsed, I knew it was working because of the amount of residue in the rinse water. That was quite surprising to me.I followed the directions and used the moistened scrubbly pad that came inside. It was quite clean after a good scrub for a few minutes, then I realized I needed to do it some more. After that, a third time, as I saw all the little parts I missed and the pot looked like new. Yes, you have to scrub. No, it's not magic, but the cleanser sure works far better than anything I've tried. Some cookware needed more time, some less, but all in all, several minutes of scrubbing had this ~10 year old set all looking great.I spend the better part of an hour cleaning the whole set and they look amazing. I did this last night, so I haven't cooked on them yet, but one thing I am hoping for, is that they are more non-stick, like they used to be.If you have a sad looking set of Calphalon pans, this might give you the same results as I got. Highly recommended.

Not the same!
I had a jar of this cleaner that I used for my All Clad pans for years. It lasted forever and always worked. I just opened this latest jar I purchased and what I found was not the same! It was a soupy, separated mess and as other reviewers mentioned, the jar was about half full. It doesn't seem to have damaged my pot but I will be tossing. Waste of money!

Just ok.
My Calphalon pot mistakenly went through the dishwasher and the dark grey color faded. Using this product restored the color slightly but not all the way. It's a creamy grainy product and I don't see much benefit it using it on pots and pans. Better to use dish soap and a plastic scrub sponge.

Interesting stuff
I have no idea what this stuff is. Kind of a wet, almost gooey paste. It's like nothing else I've ever used or seen. But overall it works pretty well.Let's be clear: this is not a magic potion which you can wave at a pan and have the thing look brand new. If that's what you think or are looking for, don't buy this. But for the rest of us, it works just fine with a little patience and some elbow grease. I have a Calphalon contemporary 12" fry pan which, despite a lot of BarKeepers friend and some serious scrubbing, had a lot of black on the outside bottom and sides. The pan gets daily use, often more than once.So when this arrived I got to work with the little scrubber which comes in the jar. After two go-rounds, it was noticeably cleaner. After three it really started to come around, and now it looks pretty much as clean as it can be.You just take a little bit - it's too expensive to slather on anyway - and scrub away. After a while the paste started to turn from snow white to light brown, as the burned on grease or whatever started to dissolve. So I'd rinse and start again.Like I said, it's not a magic elixer. Takes some actual work. Sorry. But it does remove stuff that nothing else will, and at the price of Calphalon pans, it's well worth the money.
