this solar chargers will work good starting with 3A inputs
this solar chargers will work good starting with 3A inputs. I did so many tests on this unit and it does the job good enough for a 120Ah battery at 1.2A. The unit works up to 10A solar input or 100w SOLAR Panels at 8.5A. I used it with a 20W solar panel. I love the features on this controller. USB output, single timer, 12dc output, and i will share a simple trick to have usb active while charging your battery - simply set a negetive wire out of the solar and connect it into the negative 12dc output of the unit to bypass the push botton. It doesnt hurt the unit, I tested out for 9 week and still working just fine. Looks like the usb can work independenly from the timer if needed. I recoomend to add diode in your possitive red wire rated at 50vdc 10A max to prevent over current and prevent draining- this is opctional. this module will charge a 12vdc 5AH, 35AH, 75AH, 120Ah, and 140AH battery.

FACT- WILL WORK WITH SMALL PANELS(as little as 7 and as big as 100 watts will work)FACT -SETUP BLOWS BIGTIME!details: go paperless" you have to download the instructions, (well that's green alright) plus one star! Location to download was not a valid public internet location MINUS -3 stars. (sticker in box points tot he manufacturers amazon admin site) . However after a quick Google search, I found instructions on sellers webpage manually. Display is a simple numerical display 0-10 (but with a period) Instructions show what each means but 5 and 5. (with a period) mean two separate things. Will it work for cheap yes, would I use it for anything critical NO WAY!

Not reliable. Have to reset daily
Everything seemed good at first, but then I noticed my remote site was offline, went up and all the lights were quickly flashing. I checked voltages on everything an appeared correct. Disconnected everything to reset, and started working again, but did the same thing the next day. I can't keep it running for more than a day. I have 2 12V batteries wired for 24V, and two 25w panels together for 50 watts.

Works great.
Works great. Advertised as a 5watt panel and I was easily able to get a little over 5 watts out of it. I was able to charge a 3200mah power bank in a little over 3 hours.

What a great little charger
What a great little charger. I use this connected to a 20w solar panel to keep my diesel backup generators battery always ready to start. This works even in our cold Idaho winters often below zero. And, the seller is first rate too.
