This has quickly become one of my favorite cichlid foods! The 1.5 mm pellets are the perfect size for my fish, and they’re easy for them to eat without creating a huge mess in the tank. My cichlids go absolutely crazy for this food! They come running as soon as I start feeding, and I’ve noticed great energy and beautiful coloration. I also really like the combination of krill and spirulina, along with the high-protein formula, because it feels like I’m giving my fish a quality diet rather than just another basic pellet. The pellets hold together well and don’t immediately turn into a cloud of food, which helps keep the aquarium cleaner. The 20 oz container is also a great size and should last a good while. I would absolutely give this 10 stars if I could! Great food, great pellet size, and my fish clearly love it. I have an oscar with 3 bichir. They're all still young, not much for size yet. But I had previously had 2 other brands of food. I bought a few just to add variety and see what they liked. "This is the best, no this is the best, no this" and you can go back and forth all day with that. But out of all of them, they all seem to prefer these. So much so that my oscar will spit it out if its not these, then stare at me like I'm disrespecting him. I feed them shrimp and tilapia about once a week, supplemented with garlic and vitachem. STILL, he will eat these like there's no tomorrow. They all seem to prefer actual "meat" but even so, they all love these pellets. The oscar will swim around aggressively trying to get them all before they reach the bottom. I can feed him multiple times a day and he'll still do the same thing. But its ONLY with these. I add some to the entirety of the tank, just so the bichir can get some. Even the bristlenose seem to like it. Size wise these are on the bigger end if you have a smaller size bichir. Around the 3 inch mark they'll struggle a bit with getting them down. So buy accordingly, this size should do well for the next year I'd say. Then I might go up a size. Picture is with a 24 hour light and its towards the end of the day. But there they are dogpiling the pellets, this was just after a water change. 75 gallon currently, likely upgrade later on.

I’ve been feeding Xtreme foods to my African cichlids for several years. The Peewee pellets are a good size, and the fish take to them immediately. It’s a reliable food that has remained part of our regular feeding rotation.

I originally bought this years ago as it was a recommendation from Cichlid Bros on YouTube. I've used Xtreme for about three years now and tested some other brands such as NLS and Northfin. My fish do eat Northfin but if there is one food that every single fish even the most finicky would eat, it's Xtreme. Even my Blue Eyed Lemon Pleco goes for the pellets and has put on size. I don't even have to buy food specially for him because he immediately comes out just for the pellets! Every fish I have kept has put on healthy weight, good size and amazing colors because of this food. Think of a well balanced meal all in one pellet. The flakes are also a hit and I've raised some healthy looking Severums on their Spriulina flakes and everyone goes insane for the Krill flakes. They splash water out the tank when I open the lid and am about to feed them, that's how crazy they get when it comes to this food! Even as a brand they are actual professionals in the Fish keeping world. Florida Exotic Fish Sales are the makers of Xtreme and they are one of the biggest breeders of African Cichlids and Tropical Fish in the United States. Their fish are some of the highest qaulity and when they were asked what they feed the fish so many times they decided to make Xtreme Aquatics. It's nice to see a brand that designs products that they actively use. This food also does not cloud up my water at all or spike any parameters or give the water any smell. Oddly enough the smell of the pellets remind me of Peanuts. Excellent food from a excellent brand! There are some QA issues with a pellet or two but nothing to be considered about!

There is no powder residue to cloud the water. It smells very nutritious. Comes in great pellet sizes.

So tiny my 2 month old litter just an inch in length swim right by it. Says its 3mm, but pellets are a 1mm grain of sand, and medium to large fish varies by species but for cichlids is fair to say 1.5in in length and up. I don't know how or why this product gets a good rating. Wouldn't have bought it if it weren't for false advertising. Best part is YOU CANNOT RETURN IT. Buyer beware.

Upon opening this product from the box noticed straight away the tub was not sealed on lid and no seal inside which I was reluctant to use this product to feed my cichlids as for the pellets inside looked like carp micro pellets which they probably are !
