No, it's a float. But my seven-year-old gets it cranking with leg power!

The manufacturer's box weighs 2-3 lbs and so it might be portable

Is their a weight limit on the ride on?

We purchased 3 of them, they have lasted 2 summers and numerous grandkids, up to 65lbs They are still going! Great value for the price!

What size pool is this good for?

It's good for any size I guess except a baby pool. My sons 8 and he's pushing too big for it. When he bounces on it it makes pretty big waves in our above ground 15 by 20 pool inter pool.
