Superb comfort and sound!
I've been expanding my collection of headphones as my new hobby of dabbling in the audiophile world has continued. I've read a lot about the Ultrasone's and in particular the rather devoted following of fans that absolutely love Ultrasone products. Despite the unusual name (I thought Ultrasone was a Japanese company) Ultrasone is a German company, with their products engineered in Germany. As such, it has the typical attention to detail that the other German and Austrian brands like AKG, Senneheiser and Beyerdyamics have. Pro's *Outstanding construction - simply put, these are built like a tank. Very solid and well constructed, but not heavy. *Super Comfortable - For a full over the ear headphones, these are remarkably comfortable - even out of the box. The ear pads are large, but fit well. The head band is snug, but not uncomfortable and doesn't mash the speakers against your head and ears. I can easily wear the 750 for extended periods without repositioning constantly to find a comfortable fit. The velour ear pads keep your ears cooler than the leather/pleather covering often used in ear pads by other manufacturers. *Remarkable sound - I was totally blown away by the Pro 750's on my first listen using my Denon receiver and Onkyo CD player. The bass is deep and rich, but not intrusive. Where the 750's excel is in the mid-range and treble. The clarity and crispness is amazing, with vocal presentations very forward and bright. Others criticize the 750's as being "too bright" in comparison to the 900's. I did not find that the case at all. The 750 is very lively and fun to listen to with your favorite music. It also has an amazing wide soundstage and never feels constricted sonically. Ultrasone's angled drivers really help the imaging, creating more of a sense of the music (and vocals in particular) being in front of you rather than to your sides or with some headphones, that strange "in your head" sensation when listening. That said, you can change the sound experience by repositioning due to changing the angle of the drivers presenting the music. While the Pro 750 don't require a headphone amp to run, I would recommend a good quality amp like the Fiio E11 if you are going mobile with an iPod or smartphone being your music player. The Ultrasone sounds fine un-amplified, but really comes alive with modest amplification helping it to sound its best. *Accessories - The Pro 750 comes with a beautiful fitted hard case, a set of replacement ear pads and 2 cables - a straight cable ending in a mini-plug and a 10 ft. coiled cable ending in a standard 1/4 inch headphone plug. It was really nice to see a headphone supplied straight up with replacement pieces included as part of the kit. Rounding out the accessories is a demo CD to hear the sound capability of your new headphones. *S-Logic - I won't go into the technical details, but the Ultrasone is capable of being played at lower volumes and rendering sound that is as loud as other headphones cranked. As a result, listening to the Pro 750 is always a comfortable experience. Between the sound and the comfort, using the Pro 750 is never fatiguing like other headphones - and we all have them: the cans that sound great, but you can't wear for more than 15 minutes, or the others that are just so comfy but the sound quality is lacking. With the Pro 750, you get both. *Sound Isolation - Being closed back headphones and with the good fit, the Pro 750 provide a nice degree of sound isolation. Also, the do not leak sound so you can safely wear them in an office setting and not disturb your co-workers. As mentioned above, they do not need to be played loud to provide a comfortable listening experience, minimizing any sound leaks. Con's *Burn-in/Break-in - Others mentioned this and I will note it here. The Pro 750's do require some burn-in/break-in time to sound their best. Out of the box, I found the upper treble sounds to occasionally get tizzy sounding. I just set mine aside in a closet and ran them from my receiver over a weekend. They did settle down quite nicely, totally eliminating any tizzy quality in the treble. Summary The Ultrasone Pro 750 are an outstanding headphone and in comparison to the Pro 900, a more balanced headphone. You still get great bass sound with a nice, clear mid-range and treble. While not the bass monster that the Pro 900's are, the Pro 750's are an amazing value - costing almost $225.00 less than the 900 with sound quality that for me is superior. I know the Pro 750 doesn't get the love the 900 does in other reviews or in audiophile headphone sites like Head-Fi.org. In all honesty, I go by my own ears and comfort level to judge a headphone. I could not be happier with the Pro 750 - it has to be one of my best headphone purchases. These are definite keepers.

Great sounding headphone
I was not a big believer on spending over anything more than $50 on a headphone after I tried one of those "Beats by Dre","Monster" headphone in the store. Those sound was on par with the $20 earphone from Sony that I had. Then came the Black Friday sale which I brought a Audio Technica ATH-A700X Headphones while it was on sale. I was blown away with the sound and how comfortable a headphone can be! That leads me to the purchase of this Ultrasone Pro 750 headphone. After countless hours of research online, I had my eye on this headphone and boy this amazing headphone didn't disappoint me. I have all my headphones (I also own a Logitech G930 since I am a gamer) hook up to my computer. I switch from one to another while playing a FLAC file. You can clearly tell the price different and how the sound are all different on these headphones. Logitech G930: Sound good on games and movies but a bit of artificial since it have a processor on the headphone to turn the sound into surround digitally. Sound form away your head. That's the downside when they tried too hard to make it surround. Works for games, but not so much on music as you feels like you are listening it through a hallway. Audio Technica ATH-A700X Headphones: Great on Pop music or techno since it is kind of bass heavy. The sound form inside your head. It's sound like someone inside your head. While its great on Pop music, it will make you tired after a few hours of it especially if you play it loud Ultrasone PRO 750: Sound crazy good and true to the source. You can listen to anything include playing computer games with it for hours on end. Its comfy and great sounding. well worth the money. And the S-Logic is like black magic! It make the sound form right at your ear. You will feel like you are listening to live performance. I used it for about 8 hours straight playing League of Legend while listening to my music, didn't even notice I was using a headphone. It was THAT good. If you have the money, and you want a GREAT headphone, buy this. If you just want to look like every other 20s year old who pretend they love their music and tried to look "cool", go buy a "Beats by Dre" and/or "Monster" and you will look just like anyone of them.

Build quality is excellent Pro750
Bought these in December on a lightning round deal after reading other reviews here. The build quality, case and accessories are excellent. I own three other quality headphones, different brands and styles all in the same price range. The sound signature on all of them are different so I like the variety. All have their pros and cons and most depend on what your listening to and at what volume. These I can say are the best built and have the best accessories. They have a good punchy bass and have the deepest bass, yet it doesn't impose it on the other frequencies. They sound good at all listening levels and are the best sounding ones at loud volumes. You can really crank them up with a good amp and they sound great never harsh or grainy. The midrange and treble is a slight bit warmer but not dull in any sence. The all around sound is smooth and pleasent. Isolation is good as is the fit. The cons They are heavy and big and will get your ears warm but thats the price you pay for the build quality. I've used these at home with a good amp and on bussiness trips, I don't think they were made for everyday commuting? Are these the best I own, for some music yes. Overall I would recommend these highly for under two bills.

Very pleased with these headphones
I have at least 50 hours on these now so thought I'd leave a review. I'm extremely happy that I selected them, it's brought about a fresh enjoyment of listening to music. I had been using HD555 and PX-100 for a long time, which are decent but this was a significant step up and enabled me to give the HD555 to my son. Vocals are much more realistic, the bass is present at a perfect level, and the highs are crisper and clearer. While I have an e17 amp I got recently, it sounds just fine plugged directly into my iPhone, and the shorter cord is the perfect length. I'm also glad to have closed headphones, too often I had to turn the sound down when others were in the room and complained. It sounded great out of the box, but I definitely noticed further improvement over time as the burn in happened, and expect it may have further refinement. On a few songs in the past sometimes the bass seemed a bit too strong, however I haven't noticed that anymore so I think the burn in toned that down. I've been able to listen to them for longer than with other headphones, perhaps the s-logic effect not tiring my ears so much. They seemed a little tight on the head at first but I got used to it, and figure I can stretch it out some if it ever bothers me. I wouldn't consider myself an audiophile however I've played musical instruments throughout my life and appreciate all forms of music, and definitely feel the sound quality is excellent. The construction is also solid. 11/27/2015 - I still love these headphones, amazing sound and no ear fatigue. Very solid quality. Like others have said, you do want to burn them in. Just leave some music playing through them all day while you're gone and get hours on it.

Now, after 100 hrs of burn-in..
These are not dynamic cans. They are completely flat through all ends. I also own the PRO 550, both are tight and clear. Running @ 40 ohms, you can run Pro 750 on anything...but I would still recommend an amp. There is no bass that these can not handle. There are no cymbals that can't be heard, as if they are playing on a stage in front of you. The build is strong, the velvet pads cozy...the two detachable cables, flexible...these are what every headphone should aspire to be. Anything acoustic is ridiculous...just close your eyes and float on your waterbed of instruments. NOW FOR THE AFTER BURN... Updated: I have really found myself liking these cans...2-3 issues now..or that I have been trying to wait out on...1) Jazz keyboards are just outright forward in comparison with other instruments... Distortion on guitars doesn't seem to have...I know...cleanness nor as much clarity among other instruments. Drums... separation is there, but, when I am at a jazz or rock performance...I want to feel the drums as well...with these and the pro 550, I can can hear them...just not "feel" them... Comfort is still great...build is still great...anything classical...great... The packaged CD...Almost entirely classical; that's where these absolutely shine... These are not an "ALL GENRE" set of cans...

Got them today they are amazing
These are on a few hours of burn time but so far they sound really good. I can tell that they'll settle in really well after a 80-100 hour burn in. The highs are really crisp and clear and the bass kicks deep & punches hard. They come with a really nice case. Only thing i was a bit dissappointed in was the cords. The coiled cord which is a good length only has a 6.3mm plug so i'll need a 3.5mm converter for that if i choose to use the coil in some instances with like my laptop without my midi box and some other peripherals. It comes with a really short 3 meter straight 3.5mm cord which is good for working close on a laptop for instance or just listening on an ipod, phones etc.. Eitherway good cords aren't expensive and since these are so cheap through amazon it doesn't matter to me. I asked an engineer in hiphop that works with legends what his preferred setup was now days and he recommended these over anything else. He's never steered me wrong on any equipment i've gotten over the past 4 years. I'll update this later after they burn in and let you know how the sound settles, but so far definitely overly happy with the quality and feel of these on my head. I can barely feel them on my head even though they are a little rigid right out of the box. I imagine in a few days the velvet will settling in and the padding will start to mold to my head. The plastic use in these is very durable and strong and these things will definitely last for many many years. I also tried wearing glasses the past few hours with them and have no problems with the fit. no pressure points and they feel great with or without my glasses.

these are truly a great sounding headphone
Let me first say, I have spent over 2 decades writing and recording music, most often, in front of a computer, editing sounds, and I have used many different sets of higher quality headphones. I am a sophisticated listener with a highly tuned and trained ear... My only problem with the "audio" quality of the headphones is that they are a little weak on the bass end. I know they are "calibrated as flat", but honestly, when I've mastered with these on, I always end up having to remaster several times, lowering the bass, because I don't hear the bass in the headphones and I push it too high in the mix, which reflects badly on most other speaker systems. However, having stated that, I want to be clear, apart from wishing the bass response was a little stronger, these are truly a great sounding headphone. The mids and highs are perfect... Not shrill, not overpowering in any one particular spot on the audio spectrum. My main problem with these headphones is the cushioned earpieces repeatedly fall off. They have a small threading where you can screw them on and off, but they come off so easy it's ridiculous (and frustrating)... Sometimes they come off when I'm just pulling them off my head. Ultrasone would be wise to put a little more effort into the durability of this particular headphone..

Phenomenal, Accurate, Detailed, Sound & Surround -A Remarkable Beast
These are extremely detailed. The Sound-stage is wide, Instrument placement and separation is fantastic. Sound quality is very very accurate. I played back some mixes that I made a decade ago on older mixing equipment that didn't have all the bells and whistles of today like beat syncing, etc. Upon playback I encountered errors and discrepancies in the transitions of each mix I otherwise did not even know they were there until now. Played on many good systems over the years without notice. These headphones picked up these details with ease. So if you are producing or mixing music, these are now my first line of defence. As for the rest. The S-logic on these babies is the real deal. 5.1+ surround sound movies sound absolutely amazing on these things. The same goes for games. Bullets and explosions fly around your head, you can identify locations footsteps in any direction and you can hear the "sub bass" effects that are in movies but not easily heard on speakers or regular headphones as it bleeds in, where as the sub bass on these separates itself from the group and makes itself known. And these are fantastic for language learning as the detail and accuracy are immpeccable. Gone are the days of constant back and forward rewind trying to figure out what they are saying. With these headphones you can clearly just hear it exactly as you should.

klasse Produkt
Bin rundum zufrieden was Bässe und Höhen angeht. Manchmal muss man doch etwas tiefer in die Tasche greifen um Qualität zu erhalten. Dafür muss man dann keine Kompromisse eingehen.

Ultrasone Pro 750
I really wanted to like these headphones. Firstly, for the money you spend you don't want to waste any more time on the bull that is 'burn in'. At least I didn't anyways, It also seems that if you want to listen to music with vocals you shouldn't buy these. The only time I found these to even be slightly average in use was when I played a mix on youtube with no vocals. There also seemed to be a problem with the 3.5mm jack as it could be moved around inside the headpiece. slightly moving it would stop audio coming out through one of the sides and cancel it altogether. For the people out there saying I need an amp or whatever I say no, why do I have to spend more money to make my headphones sound as good as they are supposed to? Okay rant over in summary if you want headphones to use at home for whatever, don't buy these.
