This prevents the fabric from fraying.2) Sort all the threads according to color. Usually they provide a thread sorter so you can put the colors according to the color #. Sometimes its confusing what color is what when you have so many colors of the same hue. You can double ck the color is accurate by checking how many threads are in that color. You can find the # of color strands on the color chart.3) Start in the middle of the fabric. You want to start there and move outward4) Find the symbol that stands out the most and start from there.5) just keep adding to what you've done (its exactly like a puzzle; always work off of what you have already done)DO NOT try to jump too many squares just to stay with the same thread. I have found of I count more than 4 squares I make an error in the counting. Once you miscount it is very hard to figure out the error and get back on track.
