Repells Water and Looks Great
Stain applies well but prepare for spills and clean up. Protect areas you don't want covered. It's a watery type product so it will drip each time you go from a pan or the bucket to the wood structure. Quality of the stain seems great so far. I love the grey color. Applied 2+ coats and the results so far have been positive. Water runs off the deck so it should be well protected for years. Very pleased with this stain. Delivery from Amazon was prompt (next day as I recall). Made ordering so much easier than running to the local box store.

This is what you need!
Wow! I couldn’t be more impressed! I searched for the perfect sealer for a live edge outdoor art piece and this one ticked all the boxes: Goes on quick and easy, low/no odor, soap & water clean up, fast drying, non-yellowing and excellent waterproofing. The best part!? It lived up to all of my expectations! The only “negative” about this product (which was actually an amazing bonus) was the clip added to the top of the gallon to prevent leaking during shipping was on tight and took some muscle to remove!! Shipping was lightening fast too!! It did an excellent job in sealing the live edge of the wood and I anticipate it will preserve it for years!

Great product
I bought this product and as a clear coat that would be water resistant for the interior of my raised vegetable garden, which is made out of pine. It has a slight sheen after the second coat is applied. And one thing is value for the money is that it’s warranty for 10 years. It was easily applied with a nylon brush and soaked in well. The final cost was $61 after tax using Prime membership. It was delivered the day after I bought it.A few days later it was available for $44 at Home Depot. My advise is to shop for the best price for this wonderful product

Company changed the thickness, or lack of,to a product that is thicker
Right away I will say the 4 stars are because I just applied the sealant the other day and the fifth star will be if/when it performs over a bit of time. That said, I'm putting this out there due to having used the old formula that I bought last year and the new formula that I just bought because I needed more to complete my project. The formulations are the same but the thickness is much better now. The old was no more consistent than water and the new is like thinned down paint and therefore much better to work with. The company was getting the feedback about the thinness of their product and they simply thickened it. It made a big difference for me not only working with it but also I gained coverage. One gallon of the old covered roughly 150 square feet and the new is covering at a rate of 275 square feet per gallon which is obviously significant. The product sets up nicely and makes the appearance of the treated yellow pine deck boards more vivid which is what I like.

Buy enough for a second coat!
The media could not be loaded. My initial thoughts:It’s very watery and easy to spread. It dried with a blueish hue before curing and adding a slightly darker tint to the existing color. With that in mind, it will NOT cover any imperfections from washing/prepping.Not sure if it was just my deck wood or not, but it takes a good bit to really cover the surface well. A second coat is an absolute must. I couldn’t even tell it had been treated after only one coat. The second coat really brings out the product’s good qualities.I used about 3.5 gallons of the 5 to cover my roughly 600 sq/ft deck. As mentioned, a little can go a long way, but I found that if I really lathered it on it set better. It dries very quickly. Even with a heavy coat and indirect sunlight it would be dry to the touch in minutes after the first coat. The second coat remains tacky for about 8+hours.First rain came after 32 hours of curing. Seems to be working well!

Not happy & returned
Had the worst possible experience with this. Follow the directions to a T. Applied the second coat as well, hoping to not have to cover the deck for 5-10 years.. It’s been months since the application. But after a rain, there’s this white milky substance on the top that comes out. If in the sun on a hot day, the product is extremely sticky as you’re walking, and if you have sandals on or sliding shoes, the shoes actually are like stuck in this goo. I did return the product. I did get my money back. But the company said spray the deck with water a couple times a day. It needs to cure. But if it’s a hot sunny day, and it has been at least two months, it just is a gooey sticky mess. So very disappointed. But at least the company gave us back our money, but I think the deck is ruined. And we did all this work to prep the deck and then coat the deck and it’s an absolute mess. Like I said, we got our money back. But on a cool day or not overly warm day, you might not stick to the deck. But on a hot day, it’s just like someone put glue all over the deck and you walk through it and just stick to it. We followed the instructions as directed and the second coat. Very sorry that we have nothing but a mess to deal with now and not even sure what to do. Since they gave us back our money, I’m not sure what else can be done. But will probably have to sand down the whole deck and apply some other product so that it’s water sealed. But I won’t be buying this again.

Worth the money
Easy to use, no smell, darkens the wood slightly and on the sticky side. All in I would recommend this item.

excellent stain
Tried this stain for the first time this year after over 20 years of using Flood CWF (cedar) from Home Depot. There is no comparison to the water beading off. Seal Once is the clear winner. The directions say only to apply to new wood but I stained over a previously stained deck and it dried just fine. Instead of staining every two years with CWF, I have found something that will hopefully last 5 years or better. Not cheap but in the long run a better longer lasting product.
