Q: what time of year should these be planted and do they prefer shade or sun?

This tuberose should be planted in the spring. This is the time to plant them so that they will bloom for the summer. They prefer both shade and sun. Here in Helotes, Texas they do marvelous. because it is humid and they love the humidity. I planted four, two in a pot and two in the ground and they are doing great. The ones in the pot the bulb has multiplied and I planted two and I have six plants growing.

Q: Can i plant this now in a container in Florida? And can it exist in shade

Yes it will do great in Florida, but don't put it in shade only, because they call for some sun also.

Q: which zones can they be planted in?can they survve planted outside in zone 7?

Cold hardy in zones 7-10; grow as an annual in colder zones.
