Are these suitable to clean sterling silver jewellery?

I would not think so,as they are alcohol based ,and very tiny. They are designed for cleaning the skin before an injection.There are other specialist jewellery cleaning wipes to be found elsewhere on Amazon.

Could you clean a camera lens with these?

The active ingredient of Mediswab wipes is Isopropyl alcohol. I have a lens cleaning solution provided by my optician. This is also based on Isopropyl alcohol and the instructions on the container state that it is also suitable for cleaning a camera lens. However, I suggest that if your camera lens has a coating you check that the coating is not harmed by the application of Isopropyl.
