Not That Bad
I bought this tablet for my daughter for her birthday and I would say it was good but not great. First, be careful when inserting a micro sd card. When we tried to insert the sd card, it slid right inside the table and got stuck...We had to pull the cover apart to get it out. Second, this product does not come with google apps installed. There is no google play. You must chose from one of the app networks pre-installed on the tablet to download apps. They recommend that you download amazon's app store-which requires a credit card in order to add new apps. DONT DO IT!!!! You can download the zip file for google play and install it manually. I found how to do it online and it works perfect. All of the apps that google claims is not compatible with this tablet is a load of crap. Every app that I use on my phone works on this tablet. You can even download the google voice app and assign a telephone number to this tablet. I have had no issues with internet connection except when I have too many things connected to my wireless router. If your tablet is having connection issues it probably is your wireless router, not the tablet. You may need to upgrade to a more expensive wireless router which holds more internet connections. I admit I started out a bit frustrated with this tablet but after tweaking it by installing google play, it does just fine especially for the cheap price, by the way I only paid $99 for mine. So dont give up on this tablet unless it is defective, which the one I purchased was not.

Great mid-level tablet.
Obviously if you read the bad reviews you will see that the device is a hit or miss when it comes to being operational. I bought mine from Big Lots for $99.99 and it worked straight out of the box. If yours does not work then take it back for a replacement if you can.First thing is first: The device has 4GBs of storage and 512MBs of RAM.As other reviewers have mentioned the device does not come with any application stores pre-installed. There is a pink box (titled "Download App Stores") in the Polaroid widget on the third "window" from the left that will send you to Southern Telecom's (the manufacturer of Polaroid's tablets) website. The website will allow you to download any of the following application stores: Amazon Appstore, 1Mobile Market, Opera 12, SlideME Market, GetJar, or Mobihand. You can install Google Market 3.1.3 on the device, though. (The reason Google Play is not available for Polaroid tablets is because of licensing agreements and compatibility requirements.) 3.1.3 is the only version I have been successful with installing; I have tried new versions up until the application became "Google Play" and they all become unresponsive on the tablet when you try to run the application.Netflix and Google Play Movies & TV both work on the device without any issues. I have no idea about Hulu Plus since I do not want to give them my credit card information. Twitch.tv and Live TV both work as well. I have not tried it yet, but ES File Explorer's "file server" option probably works as well if you want to stream videos from a file server to the tablet.I would like to make note that while the above-mentioned Google application works, there are a couple of others that do not because of the use of Google Market instead of Google Play. I will update this with a list once I look into it, but I know for certain Google Keep does not work. The device seems decently responsive. It does have some minor hangups if you type fast on the virtual keyboard or try to download or upgrade a load of applications at once, but I figure that is on par for a mid-level tablet. One other small issue is it does get warm on the left side (if you are facing the front of the device in portrait mode) from regular use.The whole frame of the device is a coated plastic to give it a soft, smooth surface. I do not particularly care for that as it makes the device somewhat slippery to hold onto. It is also on the heavy side, which would make it a terrible tablet for children to use as well as just for people to use while laying in bed.Facing the front of the device in portrait mode we have the camera on the top-left of the front frame, an LED indicator for charging on the bottom-left of the front frame and the left edge has the following from top to bottom: return/home button, pin-hole reset button, microphone hole, headphone jack, charging jack, miniUSB slot, microSD slot and power button.Facing the back of the device in portrait mode we have the speaker/vent(?) at the bottom of the backing. The packaging it comes in is the ever-annoying bubble packaging. The one good thing about the packaging is there is a groove all along the plastic to hold the information insert in place, so you can just push a knife into the groove and slide it along it. What you get in the package are the following: rolled up manual/documents/leaflets, miniUSB to USB transfer/charging cable, and power adapter.

Unresponsive most of the time
I bought this tablet at Kohl's on Thanksgiving night never having heard anything about it before but it was a great deal. It was very slow and some times just down right unresponsive. It would say "Facebook is not responding, do you want to close". But it also did it with my gmail account. Many times it would just close out the screen in the middle of typing something and you'd have to go back in. After reading reviews, I took it back to Kohl's and exchanged it for another one, thinking I might have a bad one. I have to say they were very good about exchanging it in spite of the fact that I had cut out the scan bar to send in for a rebate. Luckily I had made a copy of it for my records and they were able to use it. However, this tablet is not any better. Same issues as the first, plus I had purchased a tablet so I could access files (Word docs and pdf files) while travelling but it says "This device does not support Acrobat Reader" nor can I figure out how to access my Word docs even using Dropbox. Plus, I could not access my Kindle books without turning on the internet. I don't want to have to use my data plan to read a book! All in all, I am not happy with it and plan on taking this one back to Kohl's tomorrow.

Take back if you can.
I purchased my first tablet on Thanksgiving Day @ Walgreens for $74.00 & some odd cents...Not too bad, considering I've never had or worked one before this one. I'm sure there are much better ones, but for the price, I couldn't go wrong. I've seen a few returned, but not many other wise. It's been working really good for hunting the internet, email, etc. Haven't downloaded any app's or anything really cause of the whole needing to give a credit card for the Amizon apps. Not going to happen.Well, here we go.....was using it for looking on Craigslist for some vehicles...working just fine. This morning I tried getting on & the Polaroid screen comes up like it's uploading. The lock comes up for a split second & goes back too the Polaroid screen. It won't let me unlock & go from there. I'm guessing it's defective & needs to be exchanged for a different one. I was trying to take the back off to try & take batery out & reset it since there is no reset button or function on these things. I couldn't get it apart, so it's going back to be exchanged.
