He looked SO intent on riding it! Mostly you had to push him because he didn't understand/want to use the pedals. But now, after 1 month, he is happily pedaling along. I do have a suggestion for the manufacturer....some type of foot restraint to hold their little feet on the pedals. Not those silly velcro straps, either. Something like a foot catcher that they have on adult bikes. The first was acquired in July 2018 for my first grandchild's 1st birthday and it has been an unqualified success - so much so that it was the obvious choice for 2nd grandchild at Christmas, with the same results. The same trike for both children removes potential jealousy - but they have to be in a different colours, which proved a slight challenge.The trike is extremely robustly made, should last well and is very good value compared to the competition. Instructions are sketchy and in a couple of places the bolts are a tight fit, but generally it is straightforward to assemble. The parental steering handle is well designed and easy to use - and teaches the child instinctively about steering.
