Garmin 010-11442-00, Nmea 2000 Starter Kit

Good NMEA 2000 starter kit. I chose this starter kit for 4 reasons. 1) It's a Garmin product and Garmin makes good stuff. 2) The power connector plugs into a NMEA 2000 tee. I bought a 4 way tee for under the dash and this power cord plugs into this tee thereby eliminating a tee connection, an additional point of failure, and makes a cleaner installation. 3) It comes with a fuse holder. 4) It's yellow to quickly differentiate it from other connectors on the 4 way tee. 5) The kit includes a 6 meter backbone cable, so I can run the NMEA 2000 network to the back of the boat.

Good starter kit for a correct price knowing how much are sold each of the parts separately, it would be nice to have a bit more documentation, or at least a link to some example of nmea setup, especially for the connections to the 12V power circuit like the type of terminals to use for example.

I wish I would have paid more attention. You can not connect any nmea2000 devices to chartplotter without an additional tee.

Is a good starting point for building for making a NMEA 2000 network. The only drawback with this kit is the odd-ball "T" connector that is different from the other. It will not mount against a flat surface when connected directly to the other "T" connector. It is offset at about a 45° angle. The instructions say to get a short cable to put between them that will allow it to mount flat. Why instead of telling the customer how to work around the problem, just put a matching "T" connector in the kit so you don't have a problem to begin with??

I like it haven't installed it as yet, waiting for the new GPS, thank you.

Ich habe mir das Set gekauft um eine GPS Antenne, die Motordatenleitung und ein Garmin GPSMAP 720 zu verbinden. Nach etwa 20 min. Verlegearbeit der erste Test. Plotter an und nachgeschaut ob alles geht und was soll ich sagen, es war alles da. GPS und Motordaten wurden sofort erkannt. Also noch einige Einstellungen vorgenommen und seit dem Läuft das Netzwerk super. Wer noch kein NMEA 2000 Netzwerk hat und eins einrichten möchte ist mit dem Kit schon mal super dran.

Purchased as the intermediate link between a echomap 97sv and a GFS 10. Works as described, little finicky to install as it takes a significant amount of room. Not suitable for some applications

Sono connettori che ce li fanno pagare cari, anche se il valore vero sarebbe decisamente inferiore... Comunque ottimo prodotto e costa meno della concorrenza.
