When we got a baby bearded dragon we did not want to start him off on a sand substrate right away, but we absolutely hate carpet and paper towel options. A lot of people use tile but we really like the natural look of sand so although these are a little on the pricey end we bought one and love it! They're easy to clean unless you're Beardie is having wet poops, and look great!they're VERY Duran soninseenit being worth the cost. There's no chance for your Beardie to get tangled in it (like carpet) or ingest it. And it holds warmth well

this item is perfect for my tortoise. I use it as a feed mat since I don't want him consuming the wood chips I use for his general bedding. I cut a piece off and place it use his heat and uv lamps. it's VERY messy but I knew this having purchased it before but worth it. if you try and clean it you end up spraying half the sand and rock off so it's not very reusable but it's perfect for a "sunning " and eating area for my small(but growing quickly) desert tortoise.

Bought this for my daughter's bearded dragon. It's really good quality and looks really cool. Only this is its hard to clean it and get everything. When you actually wash it with the water hose a lot of the rocks come off. Great mat but I think I like the other alternatives.

Ruff and tuff. Like it should be to imitate the ground floor or earth floor.

Loved the idea of this product as I won’t use actual sand due to impacting risks. But this was amazing. Looks great too and helps keep nails filed down on reptiles. However when they go poo on it and you clean it up all of the sand come with it leaving just the foam pad underneath. So I thought allowing the poo to dry before cleaning would help that and it did not. Too expensive to be replacing this often.

Great natural substrate for reptiles (i have a bearded dragon) and its better than loose sand because 1. your reptile could eat the loose sand accidentally and 2. you don't have replace it as often. I would suggest buying a new one every 4 months (it starts to smell) and to wash it weekly (scrub with a toothbrush and water). Gravel does fall off when you wash it, but not a ton at once.

When my dragon poops the sand comes up with the poop. Very disappointed and not happy w purchase. I love the color and the idea when she a scratches it trims her nails. Too bad it is not waterproof. Would not purchase again

I've been ordering these carpets and love them! What I usually do, I would add extra sand on top so if our lizard poops, it doesn't ruin the carpet right away and easier to clean. Lasts for months if properly taken care of

Bought this for my uromastyx tank and it looks awesome. Way easier than sand (which isn’t recommended for uros) but looks way better than most other options. Easy to shake out and clean and easy to cut to size to fit the tank. Great purchase.

I absolutely love this, a little pricey but overall an amazing substrate for my leopard gecko. She can now dig and scratch at the mat while I am free of any worries about impaction. A perfect product for a gecko owner!
