This is an excellent peeler at a low price. Unfortunately, the instructions to use not entirely clear and at first, you tend to conclude that the product doesn't work.Here are a couple of suggestions for the most effective use:Don't overload it. Put only 2, or 3 cloves in it.Roll the peeler back and forth, while pressing down, firmly on the big opening.Check, without waiting too long for the peeled clove to pop out.Many times what is in the inside still is peeled, or some fragments of the peel can be easily removed with your fingers.Love it.

I’ve tried a lot of garlic products over the years. All promise more than they deliver, but they all deliver something. Except for this little item. If you want to ensure nothing ever happens to your garlic clove, it will be perfectly safe enclosed in this item. Although the technique seems obvious from the photo, I kept studying it thinking I was missing something. THEN I thought maybe more force was required - but my garlic clove remained intact and unmarred within this gadget. My recipe required 3 cloves of garlic, and this gadget had absolutely no impact on the skin of any of them.Since I missed the return window by one day (Happy Labor Day to my useless green garlic peeler!), I will try it with both ends cut off the garlic, as one of the reviewers suggested.

It took me about 10 minutes to get the chopper out, all the while being mindful of how easy it would be to slice open my skin on the sharp edges of plastic created by the heavy duty kitchen shears I needed to cut through the plastic and extricate the chopper.The chopper itself is wonderfully easy to use, which was a concern for me because I have small hands and not a whole lot of hand strength. But I was able to swiftly and easily grind six cloves of garlic (two at a time) for spaghetti sauce I made the other day, all in less than a minute. Happy!I'm not sure why anyone would think the chopper needs to be put in the dishwasher for cleaning. Push the button and most of the chopped garlic will fall out. I keep a small toothbrush near my kitchen sink for cleaning around tight spaces. I clean each half of the chopper by holding it with one hand under hot running water (one fingertip covering the hole so water doesn't get inside), then brushing away any garlic residue down the drain with the toothbrush in the other hand. If you're planning to use it for both garlic and ginger and want to use a bit of dish soap to ensure there's not transfer of odors, just put a small drop of it on the toothbrush before you commence cleaning the chopper. Set the two halves aside to dry. Easy peasy!

I'm trying to cook more often. I get those meal kits where they send all the ingredients. They really like their garlic. I thought this was cute and practical for my kitchen. It works great. I put in a clove or two and, in no time, I have diced garlic. Sometimes, a good bit gets stuck in the top. That's a little aggravating, but not a deal breaker. Most of it settles in the bottom where you can push it up to have a nice flat surface to swipe a knife over and get all the garlic into the pan.

I love garlic so I thought this would make peeling the garlic faster. Not so much. It works some times but depends on the size of the clove and how dry it is. You can roll it as hard as you want but the results are mixed. And when you pull it through the hole, most times you still have to get a knife and finish removing the skin. But not worth returning. I would not recommend it. It's just as easy to flatten a garlic with a wide knife.

Ok so I saw this on so many Christmas gift guides for 2020 with exceptional reviews, and my curiosity was peaked. At the price point it couldn't hurt to give it a whirl. IT ACTUALLY WORKS! you put the garlic wedges in and roll them around - to be fair the rolling isn't super "smooth" and you have to do it for maybe 20 seconds - but then VOILA the garlic wedge comes out completely clean and you just dump the skin in the trash. no smelly hands! no digging your fingernail in to get the skin off! rinse this little contraption and it's good to go. definitely worth it for the price and small amount of storage it takes up. make sure to cut the ends off the garlic wedge before you roll it. fun little stocking stuffer!

Very unimpressed.First of all, it doesn't exactly roll smoothly. The ribs on the outside tend to give the feeling that you're rolling a box-shaped object. It also doesn't roll on a flat (counter-top) surface; it seems to only work - badly - in your hands. And the garlic clove wants to pop out, unless you hold it with the large opening facing straight up.Next, the cross-shaped opening, through which you pass the rolled clove, is a bit too big, and doesn't make any kind of seal that grabs and strips the remaining, loosened skin. Basically, it's just a smaller opening than the big hole on the other side. Reminded me of the oversized, loose fitting clothes my mother would buy me as a child, anticipating that always-pending growth spurt! My cloves just went through unharmed and un-peeled.I made a few attempts using average sized cloves - not too small, and not elephant garlic sized giants.This was not a very good purchase, in my opinion.

Like you, I'm sure, we've tried them all, the squishers, the graters, the whatever, they all waste a lot of garlic and/or produce a lot of unwanted juice. Well no more, this tool works great. While it cannot chop as large amount at once, it does chop correctly and yes, finely chop, very satisfying, no juice, and so easy to clean. If only they had a raising platter on each side, but hey, we bought 5 more to give to our friends and familly because, this is as good as it gets! Oh yeah, and we also use it for ginger, works fine

Fantastic product , hard to get , but worth every penny .

La verdad es que necesitaba un picador de dientes de ajo que me ahorrara el tiempo y el esfuerzo que cuesta picarlos con un cuchillo sobre una tabla. Y me decidí por este modelo después de mirar unos cuantos.El picador es muy fácil de usar y hace su trabajo en pocos segundos sin apenas esfuerzo. La limpieza posterior de los restos de ajo es muy sencilla.... pero a medias. La parte inferior (donde se colocan los dientes) es muy fácil de limpiar porque el fondo se puede levantar, pero la parte superior no lo es tanto porque las "cuchillas" complican un poco las tareas de limpieza.Aún así lo recomiendo, ya que una vez retirados los restos de ajo es es muy fácil de lavar y secar. Y por el precio que tiene no se puede pedir mucho más.
