I reached out to the company about what this is made from, because of my dietary issues and allergies. It is lab-made. It is simply just calcium carbonate. I like it as a supplement because my labs have been great. I usually put it in a smoothie or in mashed potatoes. I have put it in water, but that doesn't always go so well. It can also be used as heartburn relief. I have taken 1/8 tsp by itself for heartburn. I have also mixed a small bit with honey for that too.

I have very sensitive teeth, and a lot of foods cause tooth decay for me, even though I brush and floss regularly, so hygiene isn’t the issue. I’m currently on a fish and poultry-based ketogenic diet. I stopped eating grains, potatoes, and even fruit, which helped a lot since I’m no longer getting new cavities, but I still have bad teeth from my previous diet.People often suggest eating more dairy for my teeth, but I can’t tolerate it. I get congested, develop mucus in my throat, and just don’t feel well when I eat it.I’m really interested in natural approaches, so I wanted to try improving my teeth before considering something as drastic as having them extracted. I started using calcium carbonate powder completely dry, no water or anything else, by applying it directly to my teeth and letting it sit overnight.I was surprised by how much it seems to be helping. My teeth have stopped hurting while eating and feel noticeably stronger. I’m really encouraged by the results so far and plan to keep using it.

Es un complemento que el veterinario mandó para mi perro, o sea el uso no solo es para humanos; debo comentar que es parte de la dieta de mi mascota y sentimos real mejoría en mi mascota.

This calcium mixes up with water easily for drinking, although it does leave residue in the glass you'll need to clean out. It also works very well in homemade tooth powder. Making our own tooth powder has substantially improved my daughter's tooth sensitivity. This is a very pure calcium, so we feel safe using it. We also don't react to it, as we do the calcium citrate, often made from corn.Homemade tooth powder gives a wonderful polished-feeling clean and helps a ton with sensitive teeth.
