small rechargeable batteries do not belong on a power grabbing L E D BULB type light ,quickly dims and then out MUST BE THE LOGIC BOARD ON THIS FLASH LIGHT invest in led technology type if you want long power and bright light, this light is worthy of the science experience it came from YES IT WORKS BUT DIMMER THAN MOST LITES TRIED OUT BY ME. any thing to fool the public sells out there,SO don't buy AN incandescent lite in portable use EITHER, ALWAYS CHECK (LUMENS OUT PUT) LISTED INTHE ADVERTISEMENT before a purchase . no refund after 30days e t c .the more lumens the more brighter the light and conversely the more power draw. example: two front bumper off road small 3 inch lense sized lights facing my flag ( 5 inches below )out front on the end of the driveway are illuminating the american 5x3 ft. flag at dusk to dawn uses a 12 volt 270 amp battery at the base of the pole (gel type so no child acid burns incase of the curious visitors) and then ,chained to the 2 ft. in ground pole 9 ft. above ground level is the simple dashboard weatherproof solar 12 inch panel in parallel with that battery. Then a 12 volt feed input (not 120 volt type)of a p h o t o c e l l day/nite available on your google search (12volt photocell) ( $ 26.00 including shippping ,will supply the( l e d lights as night time appears , via the 5 amp fuse to the (photocell unit day/night photo switch) in" series " loop circuit with a main cutoff switch to that loop circuit. So the battery charges from the $18.00 amazon solar panel and the photo cell turns the lites on/off saving the battery during daily daytime re-charging process .the photocell cost $ 26.00 but well worth it as you end up viewing the almost TOO BRIGHT white and blue and red colors of your flag being lighted each night on a dark tennessee 2 lane hi way out on the perimiter. SOOO 12 volt positive to the 5 amp fuse of the photocell circuit to a main on/off manual toggle switch then to the( photo switch )12volt black wire of the photo switch and back to negative of the battery for that photocell,then yellow output wire to the lites and return from the lites to the battery. the solar panel of course just goes to the battery red to positive black to negative keeping it at 12 volts for free!easy set up l e d lights draw hardly a n y current , yes experiments cost money but what a great thing to see the flag when an evening breeze comes along.

For the price 20$ it is defiantly worth it. It's a great little light, very bright and for 20$ everyone should get one or 2. I know my flash lights and this is one everyone needs. It is water proof. I took it out in the ocean, then threw it in the sand and still works perfectly fine. For everyone saying that their flashlight just stopped working.. YOU HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR BATTERY PROPERLY.! That goes for all rechargeable batteries. Do not leave it on your charger after its fully charged or else it will wreck your battery. The flash light on the right is this one and The Stanley fat max 10v is the brightest and cheapest flashlight on the market for the price . I bought it when it was 46$ and we'll worth the price. The best flash lights out there. The good thing about this flash light is after my dog ran away in the middle of the night in the pitch dark mountains in the forest. This flashlight died after using it for hours earlier in the day. But thank god there is 2 settings. Because even though it died on the high setting , I was able to still use it on the lower setting for a whole hour and a half until I found my dog and was able to make it back to the home I was at. Thank god for the low setting with extra battery life. I would have been lost all night because it was pitch dark out.

I currently have a NON WORKING light AGAIN! So frustrating. The first one I bought I THOUGHT was a good light until it was dropped and stopped working. The drop was from only 2-3 feet at most, yet it immediately quit. I thought it should have been more durable than that, but it wasn't. It was past the warranty, and since it's a sealed light, you can't replace the bulb (if that was the problem) so we threw that one away. We like the light beam it cast, so we ordered another one. The new one (2nd) quit after a short time of having it. NO drop. Just took it off the charger and it wouldn't come on. It was under warranty and was promptly replaced once I contacted Amazon. Then the 3rd light. While out walking the dog, the light just quit. It had a full charge, and just quit while it was on, working normally, in my hand. While the light is lightweight, and the beam was perfect for what I needed, its going back and I decided to search for another brand. Once again, I contacted Amazon and they sent another. WELL.... That was the end of January. I now, once again, have a light that won't work properly. This time, LOW BEAM ONLY. After trying 4 times now, I think its safe to say, this light is crap! Because of how the 2nd, 3rd & now 4th lights have quit, I'm thinking the first one didn't break by the short drop, but because it too was CRAP!

I looked at ALOT of spotlights and so glad I picked this one. It has 2 light brightness and lasts quite awhile before recharging. It has an adjustable field of vision which is actually a great feature. If you have it turned out all the way you can see a large area. If you turn it in you can zero in on something and it's clear. I'd buy it again. And the size is so nice and small and easy to hang onto.

We've purchased numerous brands of rechargeable spotlights in the past 15 years, some brighter some dimmer, others with short battery. We found and have stuck to the Stanley brand for now for two reasons, 1 we found the amount of light displayed to be better or with some brand models even. 2 the battery life has consistently out performed the other models we had We've found the Stanley to be smaller, lighter and easier to walk the dog through our neighborhood in the pre-dawn and post-dark hours. Our neighborhood doesn't have sidewalks or streetlights so you depend on a good light not just to see where you're going but to help the Speed Racers out there see our light and slow down when they're going around the curve. Our last spotlight lasted more than 6 years being charged on average 2 times a week (we take hour long walks with our dog), in the last month the battery began fading resulting with the light needing to be charged daily. Bought this replacement light FL5W10 a couple weeks back. Size is about the same but the weight of the new model appears lighter. Light output is relatively similar

I have a side job that requires me to search for addresses from the car at night. Until I bought this, I had an old fashioned floodlight cigarette-lighter plug-in with replaceable bulbs that got so hot I accidentally burned through my car's leather back seat when it turned itself on. No such risk with this little beauty, and no wires to get tangled up, unless you want to recharge it in the car. The Stanley is heavy duty and small enough to stay out of the way. I can actually fit it like a gun in a holster in my car's expandable cup tray. My only gripe is that the beam is a little too narrow for perfect address searching, and not as bright as the old fire-starting model it replaced. I don't know a lumen from a lemon, so I bought this as the second most expensive model. I think there's a level or two higher than this one, so consider that if brightness is really an issue. Searching for addresses is a little-known hell. I wish everyone in the world was required to spend one night driving around a town at night with a flashlight trying to find where idiots have hidden them on their houses, used dark numbers on dark paint, 3's that look like 5's, etc. This Stanley makes that job much easier, but a slightly wider beam and a tad more brightness would make it better. NOTE - the next one up is the Stanley LEDLIS 10W Lithium Ion LED Rechargeable Spotlight. 2000 lumens. If you need to hunt for addresses, that one is likely better, and only 50 bucks. Still, this dependable little sucker does the job.

Just as my initial concern came into reality...the batteries died after about 2 years. An attempt to follow another users recommendation and go to BatteriesPlusBulbs turned into a fiasco. She said they could replace the batteries for $16.95. I called and was told it would be $19.95. Drove 10 miles to store to be told that the nicad batteries, alone, would be $44.00 -- looks like it goes to thectrash can. ... Compact ... bright enough ... rechargeable ... and it floats. I can only hope it lasts. It is well built, but one never knows about the rechargeable battery life and the ease of replacing a worn-out battery or even if you can obtain a replacement. Some items like this are "throw-aways" when they become defective.

Rechargeable flashlight, supplied with AC charger for wall and 12V charger for car. Strangely, instructions stated in BOLD letters to not leave it plugged in to recharge more than 3-5 hours. Too many "rules" about charging. Not supposed to plug in and leave it. Not sure about you but after three to five hours good chance I will forget that light needs to be unplugged, which happened about half the time. That can be inconvenient, esp since the instructions also state to charge the light after each use. Trapped. Has LED light in back of unit that tells you status of charge. Unfortunately, after about six months of erratic recharging due to operator error, the light started to not hold a charge as well. After 18 months it would no longer hold a charge. Into the trash.. In case you are a better man than I and can remember to unplug the recharger, I will finish the review like the recharging is not an issue, but it is The light is more solid in person than it looked in the picture, Waterproof to weather. Has dimmer switch under your trigger finger. The dimmer lags a couple of seconds when used. The light beeps when the dimmer is at max or minimum. To access the recharger plug a round cover with a very tight seal and slightly tricky threads has to be unscrewed in the back of the light. Helps to read the instructions because I could not find the plug otherwise. The on-off button is a circular dial that has to be rotated a couple of turns from one extreme to the other. Features are not well designed The light is bright, but not near as bright as the hyperbole written in previous reviews. My house is elevated on the side of a hill and I can put a decent spot of light on the ground 300 feet away with the light on the highest setting. Nice enough to buy as a gift, I will prob buy another one for my dad. The nice thing about an LED light is that is stays relatively cool. If I were getting picky,I wish the light dimmer setting would have a memory, but it doesn't. If the light is turned off it defaults to brightest setting when turned back on. Would also be nice if there were some way to hang or prop the light other than just laying it on its side, but these are relatively minor details. I don't see how anyone could be disappointed with this light.

well made , good light, went into overload protection first time charged makes a sound single time when fully charged hard to hear i use rule of thumb , charge it for 1-2 hours after green light comes on i like that its waterproof and floats and compact size compared to other lights works like it should , the indicator light is not very precise and instructions dont explain it well basically after full charge the green light stays on for first few minutes only and turn to red after that so green stays only till 95% charge during usage its should turn orange to define 30-95% charge left but i cant find differenciate between red and orange , they oare not very different visually but overall great for price and very happy

light worked fine when received in Aug 2024, easy to handle, lots of light, exactly what was wanted. Now in Oct 2024 will not light up even when fully charged. Expected more than 2 months of use for the price considering my first original of this light lasted over 5 years
