As someone who has tried various at-home bleaching products, I was intrigued by the promise of "extra strength." The packaging is straightforward, containing a cream, an activator powder, a mixing tray, and a spatula. The instructions are clear and easy to mix. The mixture has a noticeable but not overpowering scent. Applying the bleach was kinda tricky at first because once you cover a spot you can’t fix it no more. I primarily used this product for facial hair. I left the bleach on for the recommended 8-10 minutes but found it didn’t work since my hair is really dark so I left it for an extra 5 mins. The product was effective. After rinsing, the hair was lightened to a pale blonde, almost disappearing against my skin tone. It worked exactly as advertised, successfully bleaching even the thicker hairs. However, I did notice a slight tingling sensation during the process, which is to be expected with a product of this nature. My skin was a little red immediately after, but this subsided within an hour. Value & Conclusion: For its price, the Sally Hansen Extra Strength Creme Bleach offers excellent value. A single box provides multiple applications, making it a very cost-effective solution for managing unwanted hair. It delivers on its promise of fast, effective bleaching. While the "extra strength" formula might be a bit intense for very sensitive skin, the instructions advise doing a patch test, which is a crucial step to avoid any severe irritation. Great product. Does what it needs to which is lightening your hair. I have very sensitive pale skin with very dark body hair and it worked great on my arms and face. There is some itching/burning which I expected but I noticed it goes away after about 5 mins (during application) for me. Areas are a bit splotchy red after wiping product off as directed but it goes away and I don't get any irritation/bumps/pimples the next day which is great. Only dislike is that there isn't enough product to get many uses out of it.

I have VERY SENSITIVE & dry skin. I was terrified to try this because hair removal creams always burnt me so bad. I decided to start bleaching instead. I'm so glad I listened to all of the reviews and gave it a try. I feel so much better about myself and this was truely a God send. I have thicker black hairs on each side of my upper lips so I had to go over them a few times. The only con I have is that mixing it all up tends to be a pain and take time. However, if done correctly it won't burn or cause irritation. 100% recommend to any females out there struggling with darker facial hairs. I promise you won't regret this buy. I felt little tingles but no pain.

As a pale girl with dark arm hair, I can’t believe I didn’t try this stuff sooner. It worked really well and made me feel so much more confident wearing tank tops and short sleeves. Didn’t burn or irritate my skin at all, but I did notice it bleached my skin some. This faded after a day or so, however to prevent this, I’d still recommend making sure you apply evenly - especially around the edges because that’s where you’ll see bleach lines. I’d also recommend doing this in the shower or over a sink. As the bleach dries, it begins to crumble with every little move you make so you’ll end up with a mess all over if you’re not careful. Girls make sure you tie your hair back!! The bleach solution was relatively easy to mix up, but I found the measuring to be a little annoying. It would be super helpful if they made this in pre-measured packs to make the setup process a little quicker. The process to do both arms (mixing up the solution, applying and waiting, washing it off) takes me about 40 mins total. The results last for about a week or two before you start to see black roots as the hair grows back.

I’ve been using this product and brand for over 15 years and it still does what I need it to do. I bleach the tiny hairs over my lip and sometimes on my hands where I have tiny dark hairs near where my rings lie. The hardest thing in mixing the ratios and using a tiny bit (a pea size) of the powder bleach which if you use too much can irritate the skin- get red and stings a tiny bit, and a nickel size drip of the cream activator. That mix works for my upper lip! I will mix more for my hands. I hope the brand never stops making this product because I won’t have another to trust and will succumb to a mustache in my older self. Overall, the product is great and packing is very cute with a small box and small bottles. I wish that the powder and cream go into a tighter sealed bottle because I’ve found my powder turned to cream because of humidity getting into it. I think a rubber seal would help and avoid that from occurring. I will continue to buy this product and use as much routine beauty upkeep.

My daughters are Wasian and just need slight cosmetic help with the facial hair just above their top lips. My 13 year old self monitors this and every few weeks will ask me to dispense the product for her. I use 1/3 of what the instructions recommend on each item. She and her sister have been warned about the bleach affect to clothing if the product touches it. She mixes what I pour out, times the 8 minutes herself and hands the mixture to her older sister so we get two uses out of it. They also use the pre treatment solution and there have been no complaints, we got so many uses out of one box we are onto our second box. A very effective easy and safe solution, never had any problems with skin discoloration, or stinging. Highly recommend.

I’m a woman who isn’t a fan of hair, so I used it on my “mustache” and the little hairs on my hands. At first, I was worried looking at how it stained my skin a little. I saw that on other reviews as well. I have generally tan skin, BUT **after about an hour the stains were gone**. The only problem I had is that I tried it on thicker hair and it wouldn’t bleach, but I also didn’t follow the instructions and do multiple rounds of bleaching the thick hair, I just gave up lol. I like it!

Although I saw on other reviews this works for people that have a lot of thin hair, it doesn’t work for people that have thicker body hair like mine. I used it under my arms and bikini line and it only lightened the skin, which is why I gave it three stars, but it didn’t work on the hair.

Ich hatte etwas Respekt vor dem Produkt, da ich Bleichmitteln eher sehr skeptisch gegenüber stehe... Meine Haut hat die inzwischen mehrmaligen Anwendungen aber immer sehr gut überstanden, obwohl ich zu Neurodermitis neige. Man darf es eben nicht zu lang drauf lassen und sollte vorher eine empfindliche Stelle mit dem Mittel testen. Ich habe es sogar schon wieder nachbestellt, weil es doch eine sehr gute Alternative zum ständigen Rasieren darstellt. Die Haut ist nach der Anwendung ganz leicht heller als vorher, das verschwindet aber nach einigen Stunden. Die Haare am Arm oder im Gesicht sind langanhaltend aufgehellt und damit quasi unsichtbar, obwohl meine natürliche Haarfarbe sehr dunkles Braun ist. Ich kann das Produkt empfehlen. Schade nur, dass es so eine lange Lieferzeit aus den USA hat.

I’d like me you had been using the boots Hair Lightener cream that just stopped working entirely because they stupidly changed the formula, then this is what you need! Works in exactly 8mins and I have very thick, dark Indian facial hair. Have been so self conscious as the Boots one didn’t work for months and Jolene always made me get a burning sensation on my face so I was desperate for a product that worked. So glad I read the reviews and bought this. It is ofc pricier but I was desperate for a fix to my fake facial hair.

I’ve been using this in the US for years - always using the instructed amounts. This is the first time I bought it here and it burned my face in multiple areas!! It was so bad. I have noticed that the products on Amazon here are not the same quality as what I get back home.
