This was our first purchase, it was love at first taste!  Then they sold out!!!  sad, sad, sad....Now they are back in stock, & we have bought Two 2.2 Lbs bags.  Hope to buy one more before they sell out again.  We are solid fans!  We use this Applewood Smoked Sea Salt from Smoke & Smolder Co.,on all our meats, soups, salads & eggs dishes.  Wonderful addition to our flavor pantry...!!!

I read everything and went for it. We have several food allergies, including nightshade meaning paprika, in our home. This has been fantastic for adding a smoke flavor, like what one would achieve with smoked paprika. It is subtle but noticeable...all in how much you use. If you want stronger flavor, replace more table salt in your recipe with the smoked salt.

Intensely smokey aroma but unfortunately that aroma doesn't translate into a smoky tasting salt. However, all is not lost. It's fine grained and I can use it to make a house seasoning salt.
