Contemporary American Print Makers

Full disclosure: I am one of the artists featured in this book but have no financial stake in whether it sells or not.The copy I ordered arrived today. After having a chance to look through it, I could not be more proud to have my work included. Super impressed by the quality of prints chosen as well as the layout & design of the book. Some of my very favorite printmakers are included.The 75 individual printmakers and the 31 print shops featured in this book are each given 2 pages. Each of the individual printmakers are represented with about 5 of their artworks and a statement. The print shops each have about 5 photos (usually photos of people working in the shop, their presses, prints produced at that particular shop, workshop events, etc.) and info on the history of the shop and what sets them apart.The range, scope, and variety of styles and processes represented make it a "must see" for anybody interested in the very-much-alive print scene. Even if I were not in it, I would definitely get a copy because I am interested in the developments in contemporary printmaking.

Entertaining. Action plenty, good characters, good bad guys. I liked it better than the second novel, though. And I will sink into the third at some point...thanks!

I am currently pursuing an MFA in printmaking and this is the best print book I've ever purchased! Lots of large pictures and the artist statements are just the right length. This book also includes information on presses which is an added bonus!

I am donating this book to my Print Group as a prize..after I had read it. Sorry I didn't buy two. Good buy.

Not a very interesting book. Good for some brief ideas - the artists are talented, but the book itself is pretty blah. It worth a 10 minute look, not a purchase. Wish I had saved my money!

It was great I even know one of the PrintMakers & have his prints.....
