Can i add a remin filter (from vitev) to this unit?

You would need to be handy with plumbing with this type of tubing. Specifically, you would need to pop off the "curved" faucet, and attached tubing to go to the Remin unit. Then connect the curved faucet to the Remin unit (or just collect water from the tubing. I use this tubing and quick-fittings. Is this a portable machine? can i take it with me once i leave? i’m renting and do want an installation i can’t take with me.

Is the water produced by this unit good for the plants? I have orchids and carnivorous plants :-)

Plants have different ph requirements, so you may want to invest in ph up and/or down with a testing kit and research which ph your plants require. My orchids require high acid but they get that with their food, I use water with a ph range 5.5 - 6.5 for my plants. :)

How many gallons of clean water does it produce before the filters need to be replaced?

The specs say a 1 gal per minute flow rate (depending on water pressure) I suppose also depending on how nasty your water is. Where I live every 6 months they do a system flush, adding a bunch of treatment chemicals, I expect about 1 a year.
