Old Town Topwater 106 Angler Fishing Kayak

Was looking for a kayak that was stable and easy to enter and exit with my bad knees. The seat sits high and is very comfortable. This is definitely the most comfortable kayak seat I have ever experienced. The pontoon hull makes it stable but is slower than other kayaks. Also tends to track off center, which requires an uneven rowing pattern at times.

This kayak seems like a sturdy versatile kayak. However it did not work for us. We were using it on a lake where the regulations required it to be store 100ft from the shoreline, which for us was up a rocky hill. This kayak is so heavy. There was no way for me to move it without draging it and it was difficult for my husband to move also. The kayak is also very slow. This kayak may be good if your going for a long excursion down a flowing river. However for just tossing in a lake to fish and row about it is overkill.

I've had my 106 for a couple months now, and have fished alot. I'm 166lbs, 5foot 7. This thing is really stable I am very happy with my purchase. I recommend it to anybody, if your sitting on the fence, get it!.

Love this kayak! It is perfect for my size and glides easily through the water, even when choppy . Would definitely recommend
