Easy Microwave Desserts In A Mug Paperback – January 8, 2007

This is full of great recipes. Many to choose from. I bought it originally because I want to make up mixes and give for Christmas gifts, but after receiving it I realize it is going to be so simple to whip up a little goodie for myself when I really want something. That way I wont make a whole batch of brownies and eat more than needed or have some go to waste. The book includes more than cookies or cakes. It also has candy, pies, puddings, sauces, fruit breads, muffins, coffee cakes, tea, hot chocolate, coffee. So it has a little of everything. So you could make everyone one recipe or two the first year and then something different the next. Great idea for those you just don't know what to do something for.I bought this book and the one for Kids. The kids one is like a smaller version of this book with only 2 receipes that weren't already in here. One was sugar plum cake and the other was almond peach bread. Although this book does have amaretto peach bread, so very close. I recommend this book and not need the other unless you would like to give the book with a mug as a gift.Another thing I found is that I didn't have any trouble finding the ingrediants. There are two that you probably wouldn't have in your cupboards and need to purchase like powder egg whites and powder vanilla. I used the tip from another review and used coffee creamer in vanilla flavor for the powder vanilla (although in the recipes it does say optional). I can purchase the powder egg white from places online as well as at stores in my own town.Another helpful thing is, when I went looking for mugs, I found it was rather easy to find ones that say they are microwave safe for a good price. Now if you purchase the books that you bake your goodies in a mug (that is another series I found on amazon) it was harder to find ones that said oven safe and they were more expensive then the ones that were safe for just microwave.

A cute little book that makes cute little yum's and treats. Also great for those who live alone or kids who want something but no big cakes etc. around the house. Most are quick and even a few I'm not interested in gives me ideas to try other ingredients and other recipes I'll make up on my own. Nice book and nice recipes. But check out how your microwave cooks these before giving a mix for example or recipe to someone else. Not all cook the same in all microwaves.

I've been doing small batch baking for a while. The problem spot is usually in the egg - less than a whole egg is messy and wasteful, no egg makes for poor texture. These recipes solve that problem by using powdered egg whites (readily available in most grocery stores). The other unusual ingredient called for is vanilla powder. If you're baking for yourself, you can just use regular flavoring. For make-ahead mixes, vanilla coffee creamer is a readily available substitute. Every recipe I've tried so far has been very good.

I love using the microwave, love to bake & love making mug desserts! This book has wonderful easy to follow recipes! It has great ideas & information! It is a cookbook I will be using over & over again! Thank you!

HANDY LITTLE BOOK TO HAVE. I TUCKED IT IN MY COOKBOOK BOOKCASE . WILLBE USING IT FOR IDEAS FOR RECIPES.

I tried a recipe I found online from this book of a chocolate chip cookie in a mug and was so impressed! I was hooked! I rushed to buy this book, eating coffee cake in a mug while doing it ;-) at a great price. These are fun to make and great gifts.

I got this because I needed something that I could used my Gluten Free flour mix and not need to make a whole batch just for me. I love it! I made Carrot Cake already and it taste GREAT! If you have Gluten issues I recommend buying this.

This book sounded like the answer for quick and easy desserts, but the majority of the recipes called for special order ingredients and ingredients not normally stocked in my cupboard. I was very disappointed and returned the book.
