Works well, but not sure if it is more effective than diluting dye with conditioner.

Lightened the color exactly like I wanted it to. Worked great.

We used the pastel with Punky Flamingo Pink, Purple, and blue. Started with a natural, unprocessed light brown base. Pink at base, purple, then blue to ends, mixed about a tbsp pastel with 2 squirts white conditioner, and 3 tbsp of each color. Not sure if conditioner disabled the pastel, or it just didn’t activate the way we were expecting, either way we were elated with the end result. Even if it didn’t turn out pastel as expected. That’s the reason for 5 starts as we were still pleased with end result. Can not speak to longevity, but can say not made it look even more healthy and shiny.

Super love how you can take your color and transform in into a paradise of pastel bliss. And bonus...it has this great almost grape scent to it. I used it on my teenagers locks (without bleach) and got a more subdued calming tone. Quite lovely and I will pass that info on with glee.

Well, I bought this to adjust the Flamingo Pink, as I was looking for Cotton Candy pink. It mixed well but it did not saturate into my hair. As soon as I rinsed, it all went down the drain. On the other hand, the same happened when I mixed Koolaid with conditioner, even though that method works incredibly well for my mom. This mixture worked for her too. So, it may work for some of you and not others. I'd say try it, since the Amazon return policy is so reliable. Good Luck.
