Met all my expectation

Best detailed action history of a major portion of the Ardennes campaign/Battle of the Bulge. Superior maps,detailed unit compositions, and startling new and fascinating photos of battlefield relics... mostly German lead to total emerson in the story of the conflict. The tale of the cobbled together vehicles of the 740th tank battalion is almost like a Spielberg movie script. A must have must read!

Continuieng the theme of the previous two books it contains new information about this famous late World War Two battle.A good book if you love military history.

It's all been said in other reviews. Well done & a welcome addition to my library.Wishing I could find a 1st Volume for a reasonable price.

Fantastic Reference Book for Plastic Scale Modelers who want to "build" a Panzer from Kampfgruppe Peiper during the Battle of the Bulge..... Awesome Detail of Peiper's "Trek" through Belgium......... Highly recommended......

Outstanding

This isn't what I was expecting, volume 2 was so much better then this volume, it should be titled "duel in the mist 3, an American experience in the bulge. So many photos of American troops and burnt-out Panzer, their's a few good photos from the Germans but not enough to make this a purchase worth the money , unfortunately I had to have it to complete the set but I was expecting so much more from this volume, Panzer wrecks really dropped the ball on this one....... Disappointing.

I agree with the reviewer who wrote not as good as last one. Unfortunately I haven't got the first as it is out of print. There are some super photo's, but also some not so good ones, and I had hoped for more photo's of German armour rather than the photo's of US troops. A larger scale map at the beginning would help as well, as I kept wondering where towns were in relation to each other, and had to cross reference to my Bulge "then and now" book. Despite the comments still a very good book, with excellent hour by hour coverage.

Fantastic collection of images

Comme pour les deux premiers opus consacrés aux combats de cette unité dans les Ardennes, ce troisième Tome est excellent. Il est richement documenté et accompagné de nombreuses cartes et d'innombrables photos d'époques.On se serait toutefois passé (comme dans les tomes précédents) des portraits d'officiers nazis publiés en (trop) grand format au détriment d'autres photos d'époques éminemment plus intéressantes.Curieusement il n'y a pratiquement aucun portraits d'officiers américains engagés durant ces événements et je doute que cela vienne d'un manque d'archives !Les dernières pages sont consacrés au destin de presque chacun des chars allemands engagés durant l'offensive dans les Ardennes !le travail de recherche est incomparable !Attention, ce livre est en anglais !

Schöne Fortsetzung der anderen Bände. Preis spricht ja für die Qualität ;-)
