I've had these clips for 4 years. We live in a sail boat and have been in Anchorages with 20 knots of wind blowing and these fixclips held like a champ. The reason I'm back is that I need more. I read through some of the negative comments and thought I should write a review of my experience. Someone mentioned that they didn't hold at all. The only thing I can think that happened is that they didn't click them closed. Out of 24 flexclips over 4 years I've had one stop working. I don't leave them out in the sun as the UV light will break down anything. Buy them, you won't be disappointed.

These things are a joke. If you have square tubing you might as well forget about these holding anything. Probably couldn't hold a paper towel from blowing away. They might work on small round tubing. I don't know. Definitely NOT for a Pontoon. Waste of money

I’ve lost so many towels off the boat, especially hand towels when I’m fishing. Once you learn how this product works you’ll likely purchase more - no way a towel is moving with this snapped on. It “can” work on larger tubing - but they’re tight (they need to offer a larger size). So I usually clip them to a smaller grab rail. The idea is well done!

These seem impressive, though I won't be able to try them until late October on a Catamaran sailing trip in the BVI's. The were a little less sturdy than I expected, but I see how they lock onto the railing, so I hope they will work and hold up well. We shall see!

Ordered these for a cruise. Used or tried to use, I should say. They have zero grip! Unfortunately, by the time I got home the return window had closed. These will go in the trash now because they are useless. Just a waste of money...DON'T BUY. They wouldn't close on several different size chairs. Fell right off. Will not hold a towel at all. I thought they looked "Naval" so I was excited to give them to my boys for our past cruise. Too bad they are junk.

We purchased these for our recent dive liveaboard to Socorro to dry out our swimsuits, etc. The “regular” laundry clips usually work fine for the ships railing, but since we were potentially going to see some rough weather, I wanted to buy something more sturdy. Although more expensive, these innovative clips are ingenious! They seem to be less sturdy than they actually are - they held our towels, swimsuits, etc. through wind & waves with no problems - and the locking feature ensured our stuff didn’t get lost at sea. Other divers that had tied onto the railing or used the cheaper clips ended up losing stuff, but ours stayed secured to the railing. Will definitely buy more… One word of caution, however — read the included instructions and practice with the locking mechanism before you use them. Once you figure out how to lock them down, they’re easy to place/remove.

Not very strong on 1 1/4 inch rail. Might be better on 1inch rail. Used when their was no wind but when a slight breeze showed up in the evening, the towels slipped off. < 5 knot winds.

Bought one pack of these to clip rash vests and swim shirts to the rail on a scuba diving boat. They work really well as long as you make sure to lock them after fitting. Kept everything secure even in fairly gusty conditions. Will buy another set now that I know they work well.

Le ho testate in ogni condizione. L'assenza di parti in metallo (molle, inserti, etc.) mi preoccupava ma dopo largo utilizzo mi sento di promuoverle totalmente. Sono più piccole rispetto alla media di prodotti con la stessa funzione. Si adattano benissimo alle diverse misure di tientibene e rollbar. Hanno una tenuta perfetta anche con barca in planata.
