Sauce is tasty, but a little weak in the flavor department. I was expecting more. I suppose using less tomato sauce/paste might make a large difference. It's good enough that I am willing to experiment; I only purchased one packet this time.

Since the DH has switched to a low-to-no-carb diet, he'd really been missing this sauce and the cod roe. They're his favorite for a quick, no-fuss dinner. Even though he can have the occasional plate of low-carb pasta, it doesn't scratch the itch. YMMV, but he really likes this sauce on scrambled eggs. The flavors go well with eggs--particularly the saltiness--and it satisfies in a way that kelp and shirataki "impastas" don't. Not only is this a great (if pricey) quick sauce, it's pretty versatile. We tried it on ground chicken and as a mix-in for turkey burgers and meatballs, and it's been a big hit. (Not something I'd want to do every day, though, given the price. It's easy enough to mix garlic and chili peppers into ground meat, but sometimes, when you're counting the minutes, it's a worthwhile timesaver.)

After the initial panic of thinking I got an expired product (not everywhere lists the date in the same order as the US as I learned), I was excited to try it. Followed the directions, but as soon as I opened the pouch I knew there was trouble. I was immediately hit with the smell of garlic that had been cooked too far. I thought maybe it would turn out ok, but instead I essentially wasted perfectly good pasta to try this. If you've ever tasted burnt garlic then you know exactly what this tastes like. That flavor overpowers anything else that might be in the dish, so all you taste is acrid garlic that's been cooked far past the point where any sensible person would have thrown it out. I've cooked for decades, and I've never had garlic tasting this burnt and awful. STAY AWAY, trust me

Two packets in each package. One packet is enough for 1 large serving. About 1 large plateful of pasta, or enough for Me :). It has a nice garlic and soy flavor with a touch of spice. Just cook pasta al dente, and toss a sauce packet, and dried herb packet with drained pasta and serve. If you haven't tried it before it is very unique. It is my second favorite pasta sauce (can't beat Rao's Vodka pasta sauce). You can accompany it with same stuff you would for spaghetti, like garlic bread, meatballs, or sausage. If you try it... Add the sauce a little at a time to suit you taste... Don't want it to be too salty.

was skeptical at first, but upon trying with some spaghetti and chicken cutlets. this sauce wowed me !!!! will definitely be adding this to a monthly dinner menu.
