Buck Stop Natural Skunk Deer Scent

I have used BuckStop Skunk scent for over 20 years deer hunting and have yet to have a deer scent me. I pour out several drops in a tripod arrangement all around my deer stand so that no matter where the wind is blowing, the skunk scent covers it. Over the many years I have used this product, I have actually come to enjoy the smell (yes, call me weird).This is a really strong smelling product so you do not want to get any on your clothing, or worse yet, spill any inside your home or car. Once the cap has been removed, no matter how tightly one screws the cap back on, the odor will scent out. It seems to be very very different before and after shaking. I shook it pretty well before very very carefully opening, and it stunk. Then i used a bit, closed it with gloves, and shook again. Used a bit more... the color and odor where totally different and stunk more, in a different way. Definately an interesting product! Use with CARE! I have it wrapped in 3 layers of plastic, including a zip lock, and it doesn't stink up the house.

It smells bad but it doesn’t smell like a skunk

So I can't write much of a review as I used this to get revenge on someone. Can't say exactly what I did, and I have no contact with who it was used against to know of the results, but I'm pretty sure there vehicle will never smell the same again.

I ordered this thinking it was supposed to smell like skunk. I'm not using it for hunting but rather as an object lesson for a children's school group. I was hoping that if I put some onto a tissue in a bottle, the smell of skunk would get their attention as they entered the building. It doesn't have a pleasant odor, but neither does it smell like skunk nor does it smell strong enough to get their attention. And to think, I've alerted the school Principal to let his staff and maintenance man know not to worry about a skunk on campus! Very disappointed in the product.

This stuff is still in the original bubble pack stored in my basement and I smell it every time I walk past so I think its as good as ever. I use it (sometimes) as a cover scent when deer hunting. I was deer hunting in the snow covered woods of Michigan some years ago when using this as a cover scent. A coyote walked past (down wind) so fast I did not get a shot (hide was worth $50 then). About twenty minutes later the coyote walked back in the reverse direction and started to circle around me. The circle was only one-third complete when I got a shot off. That was the first animal I ever had mounted (spent money instead of made money). I am convinced my personal scent was covered and the coyote was looking for the 'skunk', and I was sitting in the open, literally on a stump, no blind or anything to conceal me and wearing fluorescent orange. I used to put this stuff on the bottom of my boots but that does not play well when boots are indoors so now I take a cotton swab, dip it in the skunk stuff (vverry carefully) and place it near my stand, while taking extreme care to get the cap back on the bottle before there is a spill.

SO FAR SO GOOD, WEAR GLOVES WHEN YOU USE IT!

Superstrong. Paint it on my boots and I feel like I crawled up a skunks behind. The deer don’t notice me though and that’s what I was after.
