Autotek Professional Fast Drying Spray Paint, High Build Primer Grey, 500 ml, Primers

I bought this to see if I could move away from mustard yellow filler primers on my 3D prints. As far as I can tell it reacts to every element on the periodic table. Also every other paint product. Plus cold, moisture, direct sunlight, darkness, flourescent light, nearby movement, breathing too close to it and casting furtive glances in its direction.Oh and the nozzle blocked after 2 minutes so I had to stop and squirt airbrush cleaner through it.I should come up with a positive shouldn't I? Its quick drying nature means that you can stand and watch it parting and pulling away from the edges and seams of your project. This could provide entertainment to some people, but when all is said and done it's not why I spent my money on this product.I suppose after the corners of my project became bearable on the third attempt, I noticed that the flat areas smooth really well with 3,000 grit wet and dry.

Like: Ease of use, covering power, fast drying, hardness when cured.Dislike: smell.I'm currently refurbishing an old trolley jack, which involves stripping it down completely, de-rusting all the steel, priming and painting. There were some small pits in the steel surface and I wanted a mirror finish after painting - hey, it's lockdown, what else am I going to do? I wanted the high build primer to fill in the pits.Excellent spray pattern and mist, really good covering power and very VERY quick to dry. I put the painted part on a radiator for a few hours, got my head bitten off for smelling the lounge out, but could sand the surface back on the same day.Basically it performed exactly as it's supposed to and, being a cynic, better than I expected.

Quality is excellent, easy to apply and dries to touch, very quickly. Coverage is excellent because of the spray nozzle. Gives a great finish in a matter of minutes. Shake well before use, for at least 4 minutes, and when finished, tip the can upside down and spray until there's no more paint coming out. This prevents the nozzle getting blocked. Highly recommended.

Reacted with part of the surface very badly, has separation and despite ssnding down and cleaning the surface properly twice it still did not coat properly

Item does not always adhere perfectly even when the substrate has been prepared efficiently, cracking and wrinkling occurs. Not very high build on single coat.

Prepared area with panel wipe, didnt seem to fill in a couple of scratches in paintwork that i bought this for to save time so am going to have to sand them right down, seemed to not coat a couple areas that i used bodyfiller on also. So I wouldn't recommend or buy again.
