My Malinois was costing me a small fortune in dog tug toys. I switched to using this rope suspended from a tree. I wrap the rope around the trunk and branch, leaving one end suspended above his head height. (If I leave it too low, he'll sit there and chew it. So I make sure his front paws have to be off the ground for him to reach it.) I tie a series of 2 - 3 knots at the "working" end of the rope to keep it from unraveling. He rips and tears on this thing multiple times every day. So far he's worked off a couple of feet of the rope. In the same amount of time, he would've gone through about four tug toys. Of course he'll destroy it eventually but it holds up surprisingly well. Somehow, this rope is soft on his mouth yet very strong. As he demolishes a bit of it, I unwrap a loop of it from the branch or trunk, add a knot, and it's back in use. I'm very happy with this as a solution for my dog's tug toy. As a bonus, his teeth are amazingly clean and white!

I used this to replace the old yellow polly rope on my kids tree swing. The poly rope actually started cracking and getting in their hands like splinters. This rope looks so much more natural, and my kids love the soft feel of it as they swing. I love that the natural cotton fibers will hold up for years and still doesn't damage the tree branch. Knot trying with this rope is also so much easier than polly ropes at the same diameter.

Just what I need

We bought this rope to make dog toys for our puppy. The rope exactly as described and good quality, however, because he is a heavy chewer, he quickly shredded the rope and left strings all over the house or ate them. We weren't able to continue using it for safety and sanity lol

I own a yarn shop, and I'm always looking for different ways to do simple things. I purchased this rope to see how I could use it, and I'm glad I did. It makes great drawstrings for handmade bags because it's soft as well as durable and won't irritate fingers, palms or shoulders. When purchased in larger quantities, it will knit up into a beautiful, natural market bag.

The rope is all cotton but the ends are held together with some plastic tape. If the plastic tape is removed before the end is knotted, the rope will fray nearly instantaneously.

I bought the rope to do tug toys for dogs, Works perfectly. Dogs enjoy playing with the rope tugs. It is sturdy and soft at the same time.
