Review: Works fine. - This is a simple small tank which is what I wanted. Takes some practice to get it to vent correctly (by loosening cap). Also if the cap is screwed down and you pull off a fuel line gas will spray all over the place. But that warning is on the tank. Just be sure to use this tank properly or pay more and get a tank that has a separate vent. Review: Works great - Bought this for spare for my Jon boat . I was amazed when I received it seeing how thick of material it's made of. Not made cheap like some of the others on the market.seems to hold the hose securely with no leaks. ## Features - PROVEN AUTOMOTIVE‑GRADE MULTI‑LAYER CONSTRUCTION: Durable multi‑layer build withstands pressure in closed fuel systems for long‑lasting performance - DESIGNED FOR EXTREME ENVIRONMENTS: Built to endure harsh conditions, temperature swings, and heavy use - AUTOMATIC VACUUM VALVE FOR CONSISTENT FUEL FLOW: Auto vacuum valve ensures steady fuel flow without manual venting or adjustments - LOW‑PERMEATION TECHNOLOGY: Low‑permeation tank minimizes fuel evaporation and loss - COMPATIBLE WITH STANDARD 1/4" NPT FITTINGS: Works seamlessly with standard 1/4" NPT fittings for quick, easy installation - CERTIFIED SAFE & COMPLIANT: Tested to meet EPA and CARB requirements and ABYC standards for portable marine tanks - CAPACITY: 3 Gallon Tank (without gauge) ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0053HOWFY | | Automotive Fit Type | Universal Fit | | Best Sellers Rank | #33,585 in Sports & Outdoors ( See Top 100 in Sports & Outdoors ) #7 in Boat Engine Fuel Tanks | | Brand | attwood | | Brand Name | attwood | | Capacity | 3 gallons | | Compatible with Vehicle Type | Boat | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 804 Reviews | | Exterior Finish | HDPE Plastic | | Fit Type | Universal | | Fuel Type | Gasoline | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00022697088031 | | Included Components | 3 Gallon Tank (without gauge) | | Item Dimensions | 16.6 x 11.45 x 7.37 inches | | Item Type Name | Marine Fuel Tank | | Item Weight | 3.8 pounds | | Item dimensions L x W x H | 16.6 x 11.45 x 7.37 inches | | Manufacturer | Attwood | | Manufacturer Part Number | 8803LP2 | | Manufacturer Warranty Description | 2 Year Warranty | | Material | High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) | | Material Type | High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) | | Model Number | 8803LP2 | | Number of Items | 1 | | OEM Equivalent Part Number | 714777 | | Product Grade | Replacement Parts | | UPC | 022697088031 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Vehicle Service Type | Boat | ## Product Details - **Brand:** attwood - **Exterior Finish:** HDPE Plastic - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 16.6 x 11.45 x 7.37 inches - **Material:** High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) - **Vehicle Service Type:** Boat ## Images ![attwood 8803LP2 EPA and CARB Certified 3-Gallon Portable Marine Boat Fuel Tank - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71Owu6iqy9L.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Style** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Are the dimensions in the description pretty accurate? Thanks.** A: which is the height the width assume length is 19.2 inch **Q: Will the fuel line connector on the tank mate properly with the connector of the hose from a 6hp Tohatsu gas tank (3 gal.) or will I need some kind of adapter??** A: The tank has a threaded female fitting. Not sure the exact size (could be 3/8"npt). You should be able to easily adapt from the fitting to a hose for your outboard. Various fittings are available such as a quick disconnect. **Q: i used this tank in application where no access to the filling cap, can anyone help me where i can find some adapters to make remote filling Cap?** A: This tank is not intended to be used as you described. It is a portable tank . Any modifications to the tank will be dangerous. **Q: When installing the QD fitting onto the tank has anyone fastened it flush. I was kinda scared to put too much torque on it being its only plastic.** A: It needs to be flush and just lightly hand tight. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Works fine. *by S***N on July 9, 2013* This is a simple small tank which is what I wanted.
