5 Gallon Type I Red Safety Gas Can for Gasoline

I absolutely love the Eagle 5 Gallon Red Safety Gas Can! I’ve used plenty of plastic gas cans in the past, but none of them compare to this one. The build quality is top-notch – it feels solid and durable, and it’s much more stable than the plastic containers I’ve had before. I’ve noticed that it doesn’t flip over in the back of my truck, even when I’m driving on rough roads, which is a huge bonus. The spout that comes with it is fantastic – it’s easy to use, and the design makes pouring a breeze with no spills or mess. Overall, this gas can is a game-changer. It’s worth every penny for anyone who needs a reliable, high-quality fuel container. Highly recommend it!

You can have lots of gas, the can is made very well. Obviously it's more expenses that plastic cans. But you won't need to buy another for many years to come. It has a funnel which makes it super easy to pour the gas into your lawnmower with out spilling it on the lawnmower.

I have been looking for an alternative to the EPA-CARB compliant gas cans for several months. I have bought a few lemons and I have never spilled so much gas in my life with these new CARB compliant cans. The Eagle UI-50-FS red galvanized steel can is a winner in my opinion. First, I noticed that this is an upgrade in quality over any can that I have ever previously owned. 2nd, I was able to fill it up at the gas station and bring it home inside my truck and not smell or spill gas. When I transfered the gas to my lawn tractor I did not spill one drop. Also, all I had to do was to grip the handle and the gas flowed with ease (Other CARB compliant cans will make you latch the nozzle onto the tank you are tryint to transfer gas into which did not work for me). Also, because of the rigidity of the streel, I had no problem holding the can while filling my tank (my other carb complaint plastic can would deform as a result of the weight of 5 gallons of gas). This is important when you are waiting to decant the gas into your mower. It also seems that the gas poured with ease without the need for an oposite side vent that was the hallmark of the old non-compliant cans of yesteryear. My only concern is the funnel will probably collect dust and need to be wiped clean with a rag once in awhile. However, the funnel does snap on tighly to the gas can and makes pouring an ease. This can is a winner and an upgrade. I had one delivered to my door for about 39$. I would not hesitate to buy another. It seems you need to spend about 40$ for a good gas can thanks to the EPA and the CARB.

These are top tier gas cans. Was introduced to these years ago when I worked for the City. Unfortunately, upon unboxing, I did a quick run over and found paint on the rubber seal. There is a little room for play with the hinged spout lid so the rubber seal can be seated slightly differently each time you open and close the spout. Paint would be blocking the air tight seal in these cases. This seal is one of the few things that takes these Eagle cans over the hill vs the competition. Cheap Chinesium cans don’t have seals like this and to find my quite hefty-priced American can with some sloppy craftsmanship on a key component of fume + odor reduction and leak prevention is a shame. I ended up spending a few minutes gently rubbing the paint off with some remover but I don’t know how I just affected the lifespan of the seal now as it is rubber. A quick search on their website shows they sell one rubber seal for $3.00. Which is ridiculous. I sure hope if the time comes I can figure out a way to replace it with a hardware store rubber washer for less than a couple dozen cents. We are spending too much money for an American assembled product to arrive like this. Still a great can as I’ve seen them take some serious abuse over the years. Happy to now own one myself.

This is a really well made gas can that holds 5 gallons and is easy to use as it comes with a funnel that attaches to can to fill lawn mower etc. It has a well designed flip lever cap that seals when not in use but opens when hand contacts the opening lever. Made of metal.

I just received my new metal gas can. Open the box and it was perfect No dents or dings Some customer received theirs with dents that may be related to air transport higher altitudes causing a vacuum inside the can. I'd recommend to Eagle to prop the lip open so no vacuum can be created from pressure differential in altitude changes while shipping to different locations. This is the exact same gas can that my local auto parts store sells with their name brand on it for 92.00 dollars, funnel at an extra cost of 15.00. I bought this for 58.00 dollars with the funnel delivered to my door. I've used these at my work place for many years never had any problem with this product. Well worth the money spent. Don't want another plastic gas can. They are not ment for fuel storage the black plastic cap cracks from the pressure and the plastic gas can are not vented to release pressure so the plastic can swell up and the caps cracked. Felt very unsafe. Works well for transporting fuel but best to leave empty until you need to get fuel. I bought this metal can because we just had a hole island power outage I had no gas for my generator I was worried about our food storage. My generator will run for 8 hours on 1 gallon of fuel so 5 gallon would have been a big help. This metal gas can is vented for storage and is safe to use. I read alot of the comments giving low stars you know about the funnel and the spring tension to open the lid. First off is I'll never use the funnel on the can. I'll stick the funnel in the fuel filler on my car and then slowly put the gas in simple. The springs on the lid is so the vapors can vent if the pressure gets to high in the can far better then the plastic can that can crack and leak fuel. Not recommend for kids to use I may buy one more, 10 gallons should be more then enough for an emergency. You don't want to much gas stored at home but I would believe 10 gallons should be ok.

This will be the last gas can you’ll need to buy. Solid construction. Easy to pour. Lid will vent under high pressure. Funnel can fill small engines and your vehicle. Makes me feel better knowing my gas is stored as safely as possible. Just ordered a second one of these.

I bought this jug to hold my motorcycle fuel which is a mix of vp race gas and pump fuel and amsoil. This should keep the race fuel and gas fresh all summer. Last fuel in a plastic jug went stale. This is well made and the funnel is nice and easy to remove.

Excelente producto muy practico para viajes largos en donde no se conoce la carretera y se ignoran los lugares para repostar gasolina, no presentó indicios de fuga, incluso ni siquiera se persibe olor al combustible.
