14k Engraved Flowers Heart Locket Necklace, 18"

So this locket is way prettier in person. I bought it for my 6 yr. old niece who had just lost her Grandma. Her Grandma had been like a Mom and they did everything together so I wanted her to have a way to remember her Grandma as she got older. I had initially looked at the smaller lockets for her, but a lot of them were kind of cheap looking and I wanted the locket to be something that she could grow into. I am so glad that I decided to go with this one. The slightly smaller locket's would have been almost impossible to put a picture into. My niece was instantly infatuated with it and she had me wanting one for myself once I saw it lol. I read a lot of the reviews too before deciding on this one and it was definitely hard to determine exact sizing of the locket because the manufacturer's sizes often differed from customer reviews. It also makes it hard to figure out exactly how big to make the pictures so I decided to take some pics to hopefully make it a little easier. Outside Dimensions: H:3/4in. x W:3/4in. Inside Dimensions: H:1/2in. x W:1/2in. Tips: - Locket does come with a heart shaped photo protector in the locket to go over your picture once you place the picture in. I used the clear plastic heart shapes to use as outlines to cut out the heart shapes. Because it's clear it allows you to really see what part of the picture will be displayed in the locket without wasting a bunch of pictures first. If you do use the plastic shapes, note that they will get ink on them. I tried reinserting, and they wouldn't fit, but they pictures still looked great even without the clear plastic over them. Once you have drawn the outline, cut it out. You will have to cut a little extra from the bottom of the picture and a little from the sides to get it to fit perfectly. - To get the clear plastic photo protector out of the inside of the locket, I used a sewing pin and that worked really well for me. - Sizing: I just took pictures from Facebook and resized using Microsoft word. To do this, copy and paste the picture that you would like to use into word. Make sure your picture is selected. Once the picture is selected, go to your toolbar at the top of your page and click on the new tab called "Picture Tools Format." (If you don't see this tab, then reselect your picture and it will appear).Then go to the options to the far top right of your screen in the group called "Size", then you can crop the picture to cover the desired area you would like. I try to crop it down as close to the faces of the people that I want to include in the locket. For the images, I tried to resize close to H:0.5in. x W:0.5in. When you resize the image, the height and width are directly related to each other. So if you change the height to 0.5in, then it will change your width as well. This is why you do not get an exact match to 0.5in, but don't worry this doesn't make a big difference. To help combat this, I inserted a background color behind the image that was close in color and it worked perfectly. - Cropping: a) If you are doing a picture with 1 person, make sure when cropping that you leave room to the left and right of the face. Otherwise, you will not be able to completely fill the locket picture. b) If you are doing a picture with 2 people, make sure to leave room above the 2 people's faces and a little bit below their faces. - Once I was happy with my sizing, which I checked first by printing on my at home computer, I saved my document onto a USB drive and drove down to the nearest Kinkos. They have some really glossy paper there which can come close to the look of a photo (although not exactly lol). And it's relatively inexpensive. When they print, just ask if they can print on high quality. I forget the exact name for it, but they should know what you are talking about lol. It's a print setting. Hope this helps!

I am very pleased with the quality of this piece. It is very pretty and dainty, and I liked the chain length - not too long, not too short. It is VERY SMALL as far as getting a picture in there... Haven't done that yet, but it looks like you would probably have to cut a face out of a group photo in order for it to fit in there - so check the measurements if you have a photo already in mind. It may not fit in there.

OK. Beautiful locket but extremely tiny. If you want to give a gift of pictures the size of a small toenail this is a perfect gift. Import pic to MS Paint. Resize button, reduce to maybe 10 or 5. If it isnt the right size close and reopen paint (do not try re-sizing the pic you already resized). Then open Print Preview, Page Set Up, change Scaling to Fit To to Adjust To and make it 100% (this will ensure it prints the size you made it). I think you're best to use an Exacto knife to cut this out unless you have some scissors that are tiny and cut really fine. Good luck. I'm semi creative and computer literate and it took me about 30 minutes to get two pics printed and cut that would fit inside this puppy. It is gorgeous, just a real pain to fill properly.

I'd been wanting a silver heart locket for some time and I received this locket for Mother's Day from my husband. It's prettier than it looks in the picture. The scrollwork is shiny, sparkly and eye-catching, I've received lots of compliments on it. This is a good-sized locket with a nice, heavy chain. This chain is not one of those thin, cheapo chains you usually get with necklaces you buy off the internet and it was a pleasant surprise. I looked at quite a few lockets before my husband found this one and by far, this is the prettiest and best quality in this price range. I'm very happy with it and plan to wear it for years to come.

I purchased this silver locket as a Christmas gift for my Mom and placed photos of our cats inside as a keepsake. I was very pleased with the design, quality and elegance of this simple piece and would highly recommend it as a lovely gift. It was very simple to place the photos inside the heart shaped compartment. I simply printed photos at the approximate dimensions of 0.70 x 0.70 in and used the silver colored paper liner as a stencil to trim the edges of the small photos. I removed the plastic liner and underlying silver colored paper using the tip of an X-ACTO blade. The entire process took about 15-20 minutes once I had my supplies in hand. My Mom was absolutely delighted with the jewelry and was totally impressed that I was able to get the kittens' pictures to fit "so perfectly!" (It was so easy!) Highly recommended. This will make a wonderful gift!

This locket is very sparkly and eye catching. I have found that the hinges of lockets can be flimsy, but this one is very sturdy. The lock on it is surprisingly strong and you will not have to worry about it opening up on you. The chain is also very nice. It is made in the U.S.A. (a bonus. I would buy a U.S. product over China any day). It compliments the sparkle of the locket nicely and is a great length. The locket is a nice size, not too big, but not so small that it disappears. No complaints whatsoever! A good quality product for a good price!

I bought this on Dec 6 and probably got it 2-3 days later and havent taken it off since (its almost feb). I have gone swimming in the ocean and in the pool with it for a week straight on my honeymoon. I accidentally pulled it when changing and the only part that snapped was the circle thingy and my husband fixed that within two seconds. I shower with it. And yet this necklace still looks out of the box (besides the circle part but that’s my own fault and im just impressed the chain didnt snap). Very good product especially for the price.

My daughter LOVED it for her 16th birthday.
