Sportsman Series Outdoor Portable LP Propane 55,000 BTU Fire Pit Firepit Fire Ring w/ lava rocks

I purchased on Dec 6, 2013 this fire pit. It will not say burning, it will light, but when you release the starter knob it goes out. It is worthless as purchased. I contacted the seller [...] in the Amazon Marketplace and they said " if the manufacturer doesn't cover it you are SOL". Exact words. Guess what, I am SOL, the manufacturer said this seller is not covered by their warranty even though the warranty states on their paperwork 90 days to original purchaser. They said they only sell thru Sam's Club, not Amazon.com. They were out of parts to purchase and repair (who knew) and to add insult to injury, they told me the fire pit should only sell for $49.00. I am thinking really strongly of where Amazon is going with their Marketplace suppliers. I must admit I do a lot of purchasing at Amazon.com but I feel now I need to strongly re-think that. This is the second purchase that I have made that is complete rip-off. Buyers beware, what is being offered on this website is not a safe buy as I once thought. I now have no recourse and am out the money and have a piece of junk to get hauled away.

Puts off great heat as lava rocks get hot..great flame( that was my big worry. U really need to hold down button for a minute( very important. Wind can add to this.....

To the other reviewer - hold the switch for about 30 seconds (until it warms up), that is what I do. I really like this fire pit.
