This skull is actual-head-sized. The labels are all accurate. The cranial opening is secured with small magnets so the skull cap doesn't just slide off when you try to look at the inferior aspects. Really nice work. The only thing missing is that only the major sutures are listed (coronal, sagittal, lambdoid). So, I got a fine-point oil paint pen and I am adding numbers for the minor sutures of the skull. I would definitely buy this again. Totally worth the money.

I bought this skull in 02/2020 for an undergrad anatomy course, and it was very helpful. Over a year later, I am taking a Master’s level anatomy course, and I am using it again. It’s very helpful to have to learn the structures. I misplaced the card that lists the numbered structures, and I emailed the seller, and they emailed me a copy very quickly. Great product.

I love this! This was the only reason I knew my entire cranial bones, fossa’s and basically everything to do with the skull for my practicum. I highly recommend for anatomy students with practicums. I only got mine a week ahead of mine and it was the best decision I made. I also wanted to let know that some numbered tags on it are wrong and there is NOT everything you needed to know. So I just got a sharpie and numbered about 15 more numbers and wrote the answers on the key. Not a huge problem. But i do recommend this because the price is awesome and shipping speed as well. Even my teacher was amazed at the price and I constantly was bringing it class to help my classmates learn the skull faster.

I bought this skull for my boyfriend to have to study for his anatomy test. The skull arrived on time, and in great condition! After searching through various amounts of skulls this was a last minute find and turned out perfect! It has numbered bone markings and bones with a correlating numbered sheet of all the names and the sutures are outlined. It comes apart at the top to see inside. This skull was a pleasant surprise. Since having this for less than a week, it did come with some slight issues. The mandible was attached by a metal spring and appeared to be screwed to the maxilla. This gave it the ability to open like a mouth but not come completely apart. Unfortunately, after picking it up on the 2nd day of study the mandible came completely off. The spring came loose from the screws. It seems that it can be put back on, but I need to play around with a screwdriver and see if it needs to be tightened onto it. Another small imperfection is that the numbers and suture markings appear to be written on with a marker. I pointed to a number when quizzing my boyfriend and the number smudged off a little. It's nothing that can't be reinforced with another marker, but it's just annoying that it didn't come permanently printed on since it is meant to be handled in study. For $60 I want the mandible to stay on for longer than a day and the markings to stay clear. If I had it for 6 months to a year, I would be more understanding and less critical of the wear and tear... but I had it less than a full week. I do realize I got this for a discounted price and I think it was to sell for double the amount I paid, so I would be extremely pissed off if I paid the full price. Other than these complaints, it served its purpose and worked out well. The mandible separating wasn't terrible since I could then just use it as a single piece when reviewing with my bf.

This helped me pass my A&P lab exam, couldnt have done it without this it. I really like that it outlined each structure. The only complaint is that it was missing a few foramen, the skull showed an indention instead. However its high quality and other than the foramen its very well made. I highly recommend this!

I’m using this for a head and Neck Anatomy Project. I’ve been able to cover it in clay to represent the various muscles, arteries and veins, and the nerves with no issues as far as the clay not being able to stick. It meets every criteria I needed to, clearly labeled bones, removable skull cap, anatomically correct, correct size, and ability to adhere clay without any issues. Perfect!

For the price, this is an incredible product. No, not every single foramen is clearly cast, the internal and external acoustic meatus do not communicate, the pterygopalatine fossa is not visible, etc. But short of buying $500 anatomy lab quality model, this is perfect for home use. I took a weekend and added labels and traced out major arteries and sinuses-- there is sufficient detail to do this.
