SHAN ZU Kitchen Knife, Professional Santoku Chef Knives with 18 cm High Carbon German Stainless Steel Blade Kitchen Knife with Ergonomic Handle

Had mine for over two years and it is my go to knife for more or less everything. It holds and edge super well, sharpens easily and doesn't chip or roll too easily when chopping, even through bone. Handle is comfy and has held up to the abuses of being washed in the dishwasher once or twice a day for 20+ months. Good quality material for blade and handle. Size is very comfortable for myself and my partner, the wide cheek of the blade means safe chopping as you can finger guide safely without risking your nails or your knuckles and making it a dream to use. The bolster of the knife is smooth and allows for good finger positioning. It's absolute steal of a price for what it is and the quality you get. Only came back to review as I'm considering buying more or their blades as I end up using this knife for things that a full length chefs knife would be more appropriate for. I recommend this specific knife for anyone who even mentions kitchen knives around me. Superb.

This knife is incredibly sharp right out of the box! It has a great weight & balance, with an excellent handle & grip. My only reservation was the lack of Ideogram Marks on the Blade, Centre Stud on the Handle, & Mark on the End of the Handle, differing from the illustration. Although this has no impact on the performance, which is superb, it's a little disappointing they're missing from my version. Apart from this minor issue, I would highly recommend this item after using it for some weeks. Also, Customer Service is excellent, with prompt replies & communication regarding any enquiries. Overall, I'm very happy with the purchase, & would definitey purchase other items in this range.

Nice knives with impressive packaging in case you are buying them as a gift, they look the part. A bit on the large and heavy side, but nothing too extreme. They are sharp but I have only used them for a couple of weeks. I think they are good value for money, good quality.

That experience reinforced the importance of handwashing, but it’s worth noting that the issue was entirely down to user error rather than any fault in the knives themselves. Visually, the set looks excellent. The sleek, modern design complements both traditional and contemporary kitchens, and the block provides an elegant storage solution that keeps everything neatly organised and within easy reach. Overall, this is a first-rate knife set that combines sharpness, balance and aesthetic appeal in equal measure. It’s ideal for both keen home cooks and those who simply appreciate high-quality, reliable tools in their kitchen.

well what can i say, apart from these knives are silly sharp, literally taking the root form an onion, and pretty much took the top of my finger off with the pairing knife, unreal!! worth every penny and a&e trip, do not underestimate these!

Un set de couteaux qui fait toute la différence en cuisine ! ★★★★★ Dès la première utilisation, j'ai été impressionné par la qualité de ces couteaux Shan Zu. Couper un oignon est devenu un vrai plaisir : les tranches sont parfaitement fines, sans aucun écrasement. Après plusieurs semaines d'usage intensif, je constate que les lames gardent remarquablement bien leur tranchant - bien mieux que mes anciens couteaux à prix équivalent. Ce que j'apprécie particulièrement : Un confort d'utilisation exceptionnel : les manches ergonomiques épousent parfaitement la main, même lors de longues sessions de cuisine. Le couteau à désosser est un vrai bijou pour préparer les volailles avec précision. L'aiguiseur intégré fait des miracles et prolonge considérablement la durée de vie des lames. Quelques points à noter : Le bloc de rangement est assez imposant (prévoir de la place sur le plan de travail) Comme tous les bons couteaux, un affûtage occasionnel reste nécessaire Mon avis franc : Si vous passez du temps en cuisine et cherchez des couteaux fiables et durables, ce set est un excellent choix. Le prix est justifié par une qualité qui rivalise avec des marques bien plus chères. Un investissement qui change vraiment le quotidien !
