Why is this 980 $200 dollars more expensive than 3rd party 980's and more expensive than 980's with custom PCB's and coolers?

Many sellers like to sell it expensive because it's 100% make by nvidia I like to sell it a bit cheaper that third party card.

I am looking to buy a new graphics card for my son whos been asking for his birthday, and i dont know much about computers, does this fit in a laptop?

Oh no. This card is 10.5" x 4 3/8" x 1 5/16". It will not fit, it's meant for desktop computers. Most laptops have the video card chip (GPU) soldered to motherboard, so no option to upgrade.

Do you still have the box with the GTX 980?

Yes, still have the zotac retail box, from when I purchased it.

How long was this card used? if i buy this i will be using it for some heavy lifting. my last one only lasted 2 years so please be honest.
