Davis Lewis Orchards Wasabi Peanuts, 7 Ounce

This wasabi peanuts are crunchy and tasty - much sweeter than I expected with just a hint of a wasabi kick. Unfortunately, the nutrition label on the package is mathematically nonsensical. The label indicates a serving size of 1 ounce, so there are allegedly 7 servings in the package. The label says the calories per serving is 120. Then the nutrition breakdown consists of 22g total fat (that would be 198 calories!), 48g of carbohydrate (that would be 192 calories), and 16 grams of protein (that would be 64 calories). If that breakdown is correct, then the total calories per serving is 453!!!!! Since the label also says there are 6g of sugar and 1 gram of fiber per ounce (which would be subsets of the carb count), and since plain raw peanuts themselves are 160 calories per ounce, nothing about this label makes any sense. I guess I have to return this item, in the hope that the packager will resolve the labeling problem.

But if you're shopping Wasabi, that's precisely what you're going for, right?The peanuts themselves, I found to be purely incidental ~ in a blind taste test, I could not have told you what was in there.

FAVORITE and love these

These were good but not really spicy. I found some great ones in Fresh Market that are better. I first got hooked on these during a trip to China where I found some amazing ones but can't find here in the US.

Yes I love it, but good lord these are a challenge to eat. Fantastic, and WOW on the burn after about 4 in a row. It creeps up into your sinuses and everything. But so good.

The wasabi is very strong. Could not taste the peanuts at all.

Delicious. Spicy and sweet at the same time, hard to put down. It would be great if they came in tinier packages so I would eat fewer at once.NOM!
