Internal springs are too strong for my Mother's strength
Unfortunately the internal springs are too strong for my 97 lb., 96 year old mother's strength and even for me it takes a lot of pressure to overcome the resistance of the springs. Without the skids the rollers make it much easier to move it around without catching but in the end it is more dangerous for her if she can't easily keep it from rolling.Even if she could could use it; the rubber tips of it slide even if they are on carpet. I guess I'll have to try tennis balls

My Mom was very pleased to ditch the tennis balls for actual wheels.
My Mom was very pleased to ditch the tennis balls for actual wheels. and the fact that the wheels retract when she uses it for support means her walker remains very stable when needed.

Walker legs
Got them for my dad’s walker. He is very happy with them. The roll well on carpet and don’t hang like his others did. No complaints here

I’ve had mine over 5 months...
I’ve been using a walker since 2016. My walker has had every kind of shoes that they make. I go outdoors with my walker in Florida heat on cement several days a week. Tennis balls outside? Lasted less than a week. Hard little rubber tips? Wore down unevenly and scratched my vinyl floors. A new fangled shoe was a round piece of plastic the size of a tennis ball. Very fancy, came in several designs. The bottom of this ball had a replaceable flat piece of plastic which could be replaced without buying the entire contraption... sounds good, right? Well, any hard plastic, especially if you go outside will wear down... and because it’s hard, it will scratch floors!I changed out the shoes of the back walker monthly on an average. Some were cheaper than others, but every time I had to throw them out, it was like money down the drain. I was so frustrated! When I found these back wheels with brakes I really worried that I could not manage them, but I was desperate.. the reviews were good and what really got my attention is they were perfect both for indoors or outside! After several minutes I got the right leg on, then the left one was easier since I knew what I was doing. I’m 66 years old and was pleased to do it myself!A few hints about using your ‘4 wheeled’ walker.1-Don’t buy these if you are very weak and using your walker is too tiring, or if your legs are so weak that they give out under you!2- Remember a 4 wheeled walker, if your on a slope and temporarily let go of it, it will roll away without you!3- Keep the walker close enough to your body so that when you put your weight on the hand grips, the brakes will engage, they really do work!4- Give yourself time to adjust to them. When I first got mine I kept braking it ALL the time. When you start to trust it, you will really enjoy using it!Now, I’ve had mine over 5 months and I just ordered a new set from Amazon.. about a buck less this time. I think they would have lasted several months later, but I was away for a weekend recently and had to walk a long distance on a decline in Florida in heat on cement to a boat dock! Upon returning home, I noticed that the right wheel had split along the seam, (see pic) althoughit’s still usable, it may not last much longer. Also I’m picking up junk in the cracked wheel. I’ll keep the one that’s intact Incase I need it in the future!I highly recommend these wheels!!

Read this before you buy
My father needs a walker but has totally resisted using one in favor of his old wooden cane. The cane is okay for balancing, but doesn't help much when his legs just give out. So I thought that having wheels like these on the back of a walker, along with the wheels that are already on the front, would make it easier to maneuver around inside the house. And if it were easier and more fun, he would be more likely to use the walker.Well, the wheels do make it more fun. For me, anyway, when I tried it. But my brother would tell you a different story. A story about how he took Dad to The Home Depot with his new 4-wheeled walker. Not a good story. What I never realized is that elderly people often try to push a walker out ahead of them instead of walking inside of the framework. At least, that's what my dad did and I'm told that it's a common problem. Well, Dad and bro were in the store parking lot, trying out the new walker for the first time. The walker began rolling too fast for my dad to easily keep up which caused it to be rolling out ahead of him with my dad hanging on and trying not to fall, and that's a hard train to stop. Suddenly my brother had a runaway walker on his hands with my dad attached to it. The way he described it, he was in the parking lot, hanging on to his little granddaughter with one hand to keep her from getting hit by a car, while frantically chasing down Dad, trying to grab him and stop that whole inevitable ending. The one where Dad finally runs the walker into a parked Home Depot rental truck before he can stop. Yeah, seriously! I couldn't help but laugh when my brother was telling us about it, but he says in reality it was really bad and really scary. These wheels work as they are intended to. If you are INSIDE THE FRAMEWORK of the walker and you push down, the little stops will come down and stop the wheels. But if you're not inside the framework, you can not use enough pressure to push down and stop the wheels. I'm able bodied, and I couldn't do it easily myself. So for somebody who does what he or she is supposed to do and uses the walker correctly, they will totally work. Unfortunately, that somebody just isn't my dad.

Useless on Side Folding Walkers.
Bought the Clever lite walker and these wheels for my 90 year old dad. He still drives and likes to get out but needs a walker that folds flat. Unfortunately due to the design of these wheels one side of the walker will fold but the second side won't because the pivoting front wheel of the second side binds up against the rear wheel of the already folded first side. What's the point of that? Had to send them back.
