Box Contains 1 x 9000 Pencil Review: Simply the best - Let's face it, you're unlikely to find a better pencil anywhere. They don't even break when you drop them (indoors). They're a pleasure to draw with and while they're priced at more than a student might want to pay, they are well worth the price when you're ready to upgrade. With a good range of hardness available, they are versatile tools for both artists and architects. The softer grades blend well. I also love the fact that I can buy individual pencils in my most used grades, though a set works out better value if you're upgrading from another brand. Review: Ok. Game over. - I've found it. The best pencil I have ever used for everyday writing. I'd heard it from others and they were so right. It is very understated and so well engineered. I have mostly been a Staedtler user, but this Faber Castell exceeds even that great mark. All hail the 9000! ## Features - GRADES - Available in a wide range of graphite grades, from 8B (softest) to 6H (hardest), allowing for precise shading and detailing. - SMOOTH - These pencils offer a smooth and consistent laydown of graphite, making them ideal for both fine lines and shading. - BREAK RESISTENT - Known for their break-resistant leads, reducing the frustration of frequent sharpening and ensuring long-lasting use. - ECO-FRIENDLY - Faber-Castell is committed to sustainability, and these pencils are often made from sustainably sourced wood and eco-friendly water-based varnish. - Castell 9000 - a genuinely classic pencil - was launched by Count Alexander von Faber-Castell in 1905. Its quality and finely graduated degrees of hardness have made it a firm favourite with artists and illustrators. Its lead is fully bonded with the wood surround and is therefore particularly break-resistant. The Castell 9000 is available in 16 different degrees of hardness, making it the ideal pencil for all technical and artistic applications. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B000KJPDEO | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Age range (description) | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | 5,947 in Stationery & Office Supplies ( See Top 100 in Stationery & Office Supplies ) 53 in Wooden Lead Pencils | | Body Shape | Hexagonal | | Brand | Faber-Castell | | Brand Name | Faber-Castell | | Closure Type | Retractable | | Colour | Green | | Customer Reviews | 4.7 out of 5 stars 3,456 Reviews | | Drill Point | Fine | | Global Trade Identification Number | 04005401190011 | | Grip Type | Ribbed | | Hardness | B | | Ink Base | Water | | Ink Colour | Black | | Ink colour | Black | | Is the Product Left or Right Handed? | Ambidextrous | | Item Dimensions | 17.5 x 0.7 x 0.7 centimetres | | Item Type Name | Crayon Castell 9000 B | | Item Weight | 0.01 Kilograms | | Line Size | 0.7mm | | Manufacturer | Faber Castell | | Material | Wood | | Material Type | Wood | | Model Name | Faber-Castell 119001 - | | Model Number | 119001 | | Recommended Uses For Product | Writing, Drawing, Art, Education | | Special Features | Retractable | | Style | B | | Theme | Artistic Sketching | | Unit Count | 1.0 count | | Water Resistance Level | Water Resistant | | Writing Instrument Form | Graphite Pencil | | Writing Technique | pencil lead | | Writing instrument form | Graphite Pencil | ## Product Details - **Age range (description):** Adult - **Brand:** Faber-Castell - **Colour:** Green - **Ink colour:** Black - **Material:** Wood - **Model name:** Faber-Castell 119001 - - **Point type:** Fine - **Special feature:** Retractable - **Unit count:** 1.0 count - **Writing instrument form:** Graphite Pencil ## Images ![Faber-Castell Miscellaneous Castell 9000 Graphite Pencil, Pencil, B, Art, Craft, Drawing, Sketching, Home, School, University, Colouring - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61qDURJW23L.jpg) ![Faber-Castell Miscellaneous Castell 9000 Graphite Pencil, Pencil, B, Art, Craft, Drawing, Sketching, Home, School, University, Colouring - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61yd7d7VB5L.jpg) ![Faber-Castell Miscellaneous Castell 9000 Graphite Pencil, Pencil, B, Art, Craft, Drawing, Sketching, Home, School, University, Colouring - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/618q2V3QMzL.jpg) ![Faber-Castell Miscellaneous Castell 9000 Graphite Pencil, Pencil, B, Art, Craft, Drawing, Sketching, Home, School, University, Colouring - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/117GtW83tQL.jpg) ![Faber-Castell Miscellaneous Castell 9000 Graphite Pencil, Pencil, B, Art, Craft, Drawing, Sketching, Home, School, University, Colouring - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/11bZMtMVDoL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Size, Style** options. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simply the best *by A***R on 18 July 2026* Let's face it, you're unlikely to find a better pencil anywhere.
