Curt is one of the best brands of trailer hitches and parts. In the past most or all of them were made in the USA. Now I can't say that, but the quality is still good. I picked this mount because it had everything I needed in one order: mount, ball, mount pin. AND the ball was already installed and ready to go. I did not have to find thread locker and torque the very large nut on the mount. It was all ready to go and it was at a very, very good price IMO. I am very happy with my purchase. In the past, I bought the individual components and assembled them....the fact this mount came with everything and the ball installed and ready to go was convenient and a time saver for me. Thank you.

The product was good. I thought they hadn’t sent the pin & clip but it was stuck inside of the hitch….. Delivery was not too good as the driver said he left it on the porch but it was not he just dropped it over the fence & left it on the cement in plain view for anyone to take!!!

sorry for the dad joke headline...lol, this Curtis hitch mount and ball worked great, needed a ball last minute at a higher drop then I already had and needed it like yesterday. No one around had one in stock, I took the chance with Amazon, got it the next day and bam! It slide right in, the pin sizing was perfect and the drop was spot on! I did lubricate the shaft and ball for ease of use, but in all honesty it didn't need it. Barring grease and some finesse helped line everything up, but once in ...no problems. For a budget friendly, not used too often product it towed a boat and trailer without any issues. Plus it came with a new pin which was great! If you need a simple multi purpose drop hitch Curtis did me just fine.

Unless I missed it in the description, this receiver is either a 4" drop OR a 2" rise according to the CURT website. It works well. Great construction. Shipping was very fast aswell. FYI: The factory Torqued 2" ball was incredibily difficult to get off. I had to get a plumbers wrench with a 24" handle to loosen it off.
