The coloring in plastic straws is also poisonous. Our glass straws are 100% non-toxic and will not cause any health problems! - PREVENTS STAINED TEETH & CAVITIES - Research has shown that using a straw minimizes the contact between your teeth and sugary drinks, reducing the risk of cavities. For the same reason, using a straw also prevents tooth stains from tea and coffee. (P.S., plastic straws can't be used in hot drinks, but glass straws can…) - HELPS THE ENVIRONMENT - In the U.S. we use over 500 million plastic straws DAILY. Plastic is not biodegradable, meaning every plastic straw used since they were invented in 1938 is still around in some form, leaching toxic chemicals into the water and soil. The good news is that just one person switching to a Hummingbird Glass Straw can keep about 38,000 nasty plastic straws out of the environment forever! Now think of the difference you can make if you give glass straws to friends and family. - RESISTS BREAKING - Remember those nearly indestructible Pyrex bowls and plates your mother and grandmother had? These are made of the exact same stuff! Naturally clear, this borosilicate glass is shatter-resistant, making it both durable and safe to drink from. - CLEANS EASILY - Simply rinse them out after every use and you're ready to go. However, we do include a cleaning brush just in case you get a chunk of fruit from your smoothie wedged in there. Hummingbird Glass Straws are dishwasher safe, also… it doesn't get any easier than that! Don't contribute to pollution and risk your health by using plastic straws—get a Hummingbird Glass Straw 4-pack today! Satisfaction guaranteed or your money back. ## Images ![Hummingbird Glass Straws Teal and Purple Straight 9" x 9.5 mm Made With Pride In The USA - Perfect Reusable Straw For Smoothies, Tea, Juice, Water, Essential Oils - 2 Pack With Cleaning Brush - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31orGen-tFL.jpg) ![Hummingbird Glass Straws Teal and Purple Straight 9" x 9.5 mm Made With Pride In The USA - Perfect Reusable Straw For Smoothies, Tea, Juice, Water, Essential Oils - 2 Pack With Cleaning Brush - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41+04ulTrwL.jpg) ![Hummingbird Glass Straws Teal and Purple Straight 9" x 9.5 mm Made With Pride In The USA - Perfect Reusable Straw For Smoothies, Tea, Juice, Water, Essential Oils - 2 Pack With Cleaning Brush - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41KhImrAsFL.jpg) ![Hummingbird Glass Straws Teal and Purple Straight 9" x 9.5 mm Made With Pride In The USA - Perfect Reusable Straw For Smoothies, Tea, Juice, Water, Essential Oils - 2 Pack With Cleaning Brush - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41reVD8TjrL.jpg) ![Hummingbird Glass Straws Teal and Purple Straight 9" x 9.5 mm Made With Pride In The USA - Perfect Reusable Straw For Smoothies, Tea, Juice, Water, Essential Oils - 2 Pack With Cleaning Brush - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41-YxX1Y5+L.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very good quality product *by K***N on Reviewed in the United States on February 28, 2018* These are very good quality straws and the brush fits nicely to clean the inside. I like the fact that the brush has a tiny plastic tip so there is no exposed metal, and it won't scratch the glass inside. I contacted the company with a question, and they called me right back - very good customer service. The teal straw has very intense color and the purple straw has a very slight tint which I would call a light lavender.Very nice product and I would definitely buy from this company again. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Keep your straws out of the garbage - These are straws for life. *by B***Y on Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2015* These straws are amazing! We love drinking ice cold drinks through large straws, however, we had to consider that our habit of plastic straw use was contributing about 400 of these little guys to the landfill every year. Plus, when we are on the road in our sprinter RV, the less garbage we can accumulate, the better. We researched our options and figured the Hummingbird straws to be the best not only for our health but also the longevity of the straw. They're beautiful enough to serve at a cocktail party, but functional enough for everyday.Pricey? Sure, but they're a good "Pyrex" type material and it's pretty darn difficult to crack that stuff. If you figure that you spend a couple bucks every time you buy a bag of 100 plastic straws, this is a good investment. No yucky metallic taste as you might get from other choices, and the size is good even for thick smoothies. No worries about leaving half your smoothie for later inside... They're easy to clean with the brush that comes with them.Lastly, we had issues with one of the straws when we first received it and customer service couldn't have been better. They were prompt, personable, and clearly love what they do. Highly recommend. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I'm working to end my plastic footprint. *by S***H on Reviewed in the United States on April 22, 2015* Plastic straws are usually a number 2 or 5 plastic. In many places in America, and especially throughout the world, there is no way to recycle this plastic. The average american throws away upward of 570 plastic straws per year. Now that wont be me ever again. If everyone in the world used a glass straw then we could cut out hundreds of thousands of pounds of plastic. The purple is really light in color. It's more of a tinted purple. The teal is more of a green. They work wonderfully. I love them. I keep them with me all the time. I know it says they are unbreakable, but I got a wooden chopsticks case and keep them in there in my purse. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/11999990-hummingbird-glass-straws-teal-and-purple-straight-9-x-9](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/11999990-hummingbird-glass-straws-teal-and-purple-straight-9-x-9) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-11-06*
