Was very impressed wit this!
I had bought the Dalton asphalt crack filler last year and finally got to install it. I had a couple of good size cracks in my asphalt driveway and had put multiple layers of this to fill in the cracks. I was concerned that my hands were going to be covered in a asphalt based material. This stuff was very well covered in plastic so no mess on the hands, easy to cut, I used a pair of wire cutters. I would recommend using a bigger propane torch that you attach to a tank. After the sealer had cured and cooled down, it seems to have adhered to the existing asphalt and seems to be very durable with great sealant I will be buying more!

Best DIY option
This is by far the best DIY asphalt crack filler option. It melts and fills the crack effortlessly. Saves time and money!

good buy
works great with a propane torch, just heat it up and let it drip into the crack. if it opens back up you can hit it again with the torch.

Easily applied and melts very well.
So very glad I purchased this to tar seal my driveway. It melted very easily with just a normal hand torch. Like someone else has suggested. Put this is the sun for a little while to make it more pliable. Once you get the hang of it. I was able to feed the rope over the crack and melt it at the same time. If you have cracks that go different directions. Cut it into small pieces to melt. Time will tell if it makes it through a hard winter. Everything else I have tried hasn't. :(

Adheres the best and didn't crack after 1 winter
I ordered a double-set of this 1/4" 2x. I also ordered a 1/2" small pail. They both adhere well to my asphalt driveway and concrete curbs and didn't crack after one winter. Adheres the best of several products I tried including acrylic tubes. After 1 winter the acrylic I applied has a single small crack running lengthwise in most of the cracks I filled. Not so for the PLI-Stix. I did find that the 1/4 inch was sufficient for most cracks and it melts faster than the 1/2 inch so uses less propane. I also like both sizes in that as long as the already treated crack surfaces are cleaned you can layer it by adding more new strips and heating/reheating this material in the cracks even after several months. In many cases I also cut these strips into small segments of an inch or less in many of the smaller cracks and it spreads out and runs down into the cracks. Note, it cuts more easily after leaving in the sun for 20 or more minutes. It's a lot of work if you have many cracks but I knew that going-in after reading reviews. I'm happy with it so far after almost a year and 1 winter.

Excellent product that literally melts into the cracks.
Works a heck of a lot better than the liquid acrylic products. I just laid it out over the cracks and pressed it in. I set up the torch as per the instructions. Then I let the blue flame gently melt the tube. Before you know it I was done the entire driveway. I highly recommend using this product. I have no negative things to say in regards to the product.

Good so far
Sealed out cracks and ants can't back through. Will see how it holds up over winter but so far so good.
