This arrived cracked both bottom and lid. It is no heavier plastic than the disposable produce containers. The pellets are okay though.

Do not purchase!!! The bottom tray is very thin and flimsy. The top cover is just as flimsy and does not lock down easily or effectively to retain moisture. This "mini greenhouse" just does not cut it. IF the plastic was thicker and the molding of both parts fit better, then it would be worth the money!Otherwise seek another plastic greenhouse with better construction and it will last more than one season as well!

Plants start so well in these! And super easy to transplant. My basil germinated in under 24 hrs with the addition of a warming mat. Definitely preferred to Rapid Rooter plugs for hydroponics - after the second set of true leaves showed up I trimmed off the fabric on the bottom and put these in 2" net pots with a thin layer of hydroton on the bottom for wicking. It's a perfect fit! After roots are a bit more established in the hydro I can easily remove the coir and transplant fully into media.

I disagree pretty strongly with the other reviewer. These are totally decent trays with very well fitting lids.They're just as strong as a standard 1020 tray and the lids fit tighter and better than almost anything on the market.Considering the price these aren't too bad at all and you could easily do much worse.For example, the dome lids on the CK/Ferry Morris/Plantation set ups barely fit at all.Planters Pride typically has very good fit across their product line.Honestly I wouldn't normally review a product like this but it bothered me that it had a single one star review when my experience was to the contrary. I start about 3,000 seeds a year either in greenhouses or indoors and I use/have tried pretty much everything. And while these aren't my normal starting option they are certainly on the better side of most consumer/home gardening seed starting kits.
