It is well packaged in a box that nestles it and in fact should be kept for storage. I have used it to dice vegetables, cantaloupe, and trim and cut chicken breasts. I wash it immediately after use in warm sudsy water after each use, dry it and store it for my next culinary adventure. I am very pleased with this knife and recommend it highly.

My god....I am a knife snob..I unwrapped this and cut through corn husks like they were made out of paper...Balanced!! Great hand feel...I dont think the performance ever exceeded my expectations more than this knife. I bought similar knives for "hundreds" more than this knife. I went back on here an ordered several more of their knives! My mother managed a high restaurant...I have experience with top end knives...you will not be disappointed....oh I just ordered this exact knife for my so in law as a Christmas gift!!
