Great little tapper
I work as an automotive service technician and I use this little guy for tapping around on materials that I do not want to mar or scratch in search of rattles and squeaks. I admit that the hammers the tool truck guys sell are more appealing to the eye but they are a lot more expensive and they all come with composite type handles that I am not a fan of. Give me a hammer or a mallet with a hickory handle any day over that composite stuff. This hammer will perform it's job just as well as the other guys at a lot less cost and I get the handle material I like. The hammer is made well and by a company you can trust. The faces are replaceable and affordable. Also you can configure it any way you like if you use one face more than the other. If you need a light tapping hammer and you need to preserve the appearance of the work piece your tapping then I highly recommend this tool.

Braclet
I bought the hammer to shape copper brackets That I make out of 1/4 in. Copper. It works good without leaving hammer marks.

Just the right tool.
This tool worked very well. It is small and just the right size and weight for tapping laminate flooring into place. It is not cumbersome and gets the job done. I bought mine separately because I already had a tapping block and angle tool. I would buy the kit if you don't have the other tools.

Love This Little Hammer!
I had a Craftsman hammer just like this for many years, but a project finally came where I tore up the plastic and rubber tips (don't think they could be replaced). It was such a useful hammer that I quickly took to Amazon to find a replacement. Tried a cheap metal-body one that looked promising, but it wouldn't stay together. This Vaughan SF6, however, has excellent build quality. Just what I was hoping for. The 6-ounce size is great for smaller projects where a mallet is overkill.Hope this helps. If this is the size/type of hammer you need, I highly recommend this one.

Nice hammer, finish a bit lacking
I ordered this to replace my Craftsman 38298 6 oz hammer that I bought roughly 25 years ago. This was a favorite hammer that was recently misplaced. This SF6 is an exact replacement except of course for logos . The Craftsman replacement tips 38299 (red rubber) and 38301 (yellow plastic) also fit the SF6. The vaughan replacement tips 51201 (red rubber) and 51101 (yellow plastic) are available on their website at a reasonable price. I fully expect to get many years of use from this hammer. The finish is nice, my only complaint is that upon removing the tip I noticed that the forging finish was poorly done resulting in damaged tips. This could be rectified by grinding flush during a tip change, I chose not to at this time only because I didn't want to damage the paint and the current tip is already damaged. I change my tips regularly so I will probably clean it up at the next tip change. It was dissapi ting to see and resulted in a four instead of five star review.
