Great unofficial RAM for your Synology 220+ NAS
My current Synology 220+ RAM usage was constantly hovering around 70-80%. I started researching to see if any additional RAM could be added. You have a few options. You can go the Synology route and end up paying $90 for a 4GB stick. OR, you could purchase one of these for a fraction of the cost. Be aware that per Synology - you will void your warranty if you go with a non-Synology RAM. I took a leap of faith after much research and guess what?! This works perfectly. Installation was a breeze and my NAS recognized it immediately. It's been running so far for about a month with no issues. The best part? My RAM usage is now between 20-30%. Much better. I notice the OS runs a lot more smoothly as well now since the RAM wasn't being almost maxed out constantly. This is definitely worth the purchase if you would like to expand your RAM. Do your research. There are a lot of posts on Reddit that share the same success that I had. You could even go higher and get yourself a 8, 16 or 32GB stick. The 4GB was more than enough for what I use my NAS for (Plex and storage).

Excellent, Works with DS224+
I had been looking to add RAM to my synology DS224+ and found this kit after erroneously buying a non-compatable stick. This allowed me to save around $60 without buying Synologys rebranded memory while retaining its compatibility. I had no error messages after installing and my system loads photos significantly faster. I've heard some say that this can void your warranty but my DS224+ manual states that the warranty will only be void if the RAM caused the issue. Maybe i'm living in the fast lane but i think this is a non-issue

Easy memory upgrade for a Synology NAS
I purchased this memory to expand my Synology NAS DS224+ to 6GB of RAM in order to run a Windows 10 virtual machine. The memory installed in about 5 minutes, booted up with now issues, and now allows me to dedicate 4BG to my VMs while still running other applications. Excellent upgrade that I should have just purchased with the unit!

Works Perfectly with Synology DS224+
It takes a minute to install in the Synology DS224+. I used SA to validate the memory and I could see that the NAS recognized it and now reads 6 GB of RAM. That should help the access time under heavy load.I RECOMMEND IT!

Perfect RAM upgarde for a Synology DS920+
After checking Crucial's website for compatibility with Synology I decided to try this as a cheap upgrade for my Synology DS920+. Installed really easy and worked just fine having no issues with Synology. This upgrade is perfect for running more apps and Docker containers on your Synology.
