Fresh, Yummy, Raw Pecans
I am nuts for Sincerely Nuts. I buy SO many different items from them. From nuts to seeds to chips to dried fruit- half of my kitchen is stocked by Sincerely Nuts brand. So when I needed pecans I knew exactly where to go; Sincerely Nuts. Out of all different kinds of nuts, pecans are my favorite. I use them in multiple different desserts and occasionally munch on them throughout the day as well. I wanted unsalted nuts in a big bag- which is surprisingly hard to find. Most ‘bakery aisle’ pecans come in very small quantities. Sincerely Nuts had this very big 2 pound bag of pecans. They were out of stock of the 5 pound bag- but if they had that in stock, I would have purchased it instead. With that being said, I’m happy with what I received with the 2 pound bag.The nuts were well-packaged. Sincerely Nuts packages in thick, durable plastic bags that have resealable zip block enclosures on the top. Great for long-term freshness! All of the pecans arrived in large, whole pieces. None were crushed or broken. They were soft textured and fresh. The soft aroma of them could be smelled right when you opened the bag. They are not roasted, seasoned, or salted. They’re simply fresh, natural nuts- which was exactly what I wanted.I’ve used these in pecan pie, chocolate turtles, and pumpkin spice danishes. I’ve mixed them with chocolate pieces for an ‘on-the-go trailmix’. I’ve roasted them in my own sweet and salty seasoning. I’ve crushed them and used them on top of pumpkin pie and pumpkin pudding. Can you tell I’m all about autumn right now? Needless to say over the last couple weeks I have used this entire bag of nuts and I’ve been nothing but satisfied.Because there are no previous seasonings or preservatives added to these nuts they are safe for pets! They can be fed to rats, mice, gerbils, hamsters, birds, and hermit crabs. This may not be a ‘plus’ to some people, but to pet-lovers like myself I like having items in my kitchen that I can share with my furry, feather, and scaley kiddos.I’m rarely disappointed in a Sincerely Nuts product- so I wasn’t surprised that I absolutely loved these nuts. I’ll be back for more soon.

not too good
Sincerely Nuts raw pecans seem older. I also have a batch of raw pecans from "We got nuts" and they seem so much more fresh compared to these.Sincerely Nut's pecans are faded in color, softer and not very strong flavor. it's like they are nuts from 1-2 years ago. They are still edibleThese should be discounted to half price.

Off flavor...not fresh, rancid flavor
I was looking to order a bulk package of pecans, saw this brand and decided to take a chance to try them. I tried a taste of the pecans before baking cookies with them because when they arrived the package window was coated with thin flaky speck pieces which looked like the nut coating was loosening up inside, They had a somewhat tangy taste, not fresh and were rancid. I spit the trial pecan out. Pecans I've purchased usually have a soft texture and light buttery taste if fresh. These were a bit dry and had an off flavor which I did not feel was right nor cared to use in my baking. I put them aside and used walnuts I had on hand instead. VERY disappointed in my purchase.

Stale Old Tasteless Pecans
November is the start of the Pecan harvesting season. I guess I should have waited until the end of December to order pecans. These taste like last year's harvest. I have to sort through the nuts to find the good ones to eat out of the bag. I use the nuts that are borderline in my veggie sauté. The rest I will pitch. Amazon did give me a refund on this purchase. I buy other nuts from this company and they have been good.

Dry and shriveled
Wow, what a disappointment. I usually buy Fisher Nuts, but I bought a five-pound bag of sliced almonds from Sincerely Nuts for convenience and they were excellent. So I decided to try their one-pound bag of pecans. Unfortunately, they are dreadful. The nuts are all very, very dark brown and many have areas that are almost black, dry, shriveled. How could they sell these? I needed some pecans for something, and I wound up going through the bag looking for decent ones or ones where I could break off the bad parts. It was so depressing.

Naturally fresh and Delicious
Perfectly delicious taste! Takes me back to Christmases where we would crack nuts and rapidly eat the raw meats. These taste like they just came out of the shell, perfectly natural and delicious. Big nut meats.

Good for the price
Not bad for the price. Some were a bit dry, while others in the package were moist and tasty. At times I would find a few bitter ones, thinking it was the 'shell dust' lingering on the nut. I also found two large shells still on the halves. Glad I saw before I bit down. I realize this is a hazard when eating any nuts. The bag was my largest complaint. Once I opened the 'self-sealing' bag, I couldn't close it. It was as if they shipped 2# of nuts in a 1.5# bag. I had to resort to my own zipper bag to store. All in all, for the price, this isn't a bad deal. I didn't find nut pieces until I was very close to the bottom of the bag.

Absolutely the best pecans. Period.
I was skeptical that these pecans were really as delicious and fresh as other reviewers said. They are all that, 100%. I toasted them at 350 degrees for 10 minutes to add to German Chocolate cake frosting. Absolutely fabulous! They're delicious straight out of the bag, too. Can't wait to bake a pecan pie with these.
